Trenton Apartments

"DO NOT GET AN APARTMENT HERE! Owner is a slumlord and does not fix anything the right way. Our A/C was completely out dead of June and July. Did not do anything about it and said he would not fix it because it runs at 70%. If I’m paying full rent on a apartment I want my A/C to be running at full capacity. He bought us a inside unit that you vent through a window that only works in one room. It did not work well either apartment still stayed at 80-87 degree even with that portable A/C running. As long as the owner Matt owns these do not even think about living here. Absolute slumlord. It’s a shame because Trenton is a great town. Our A/C was not the only issue to this place. Here is a small list never mowed, never trimmed anything, never did snow removal until it was half way melted, bird nest in dryer vents, does not clean dryer vents regularly (or at all to be exact), CAME INTO OUR APARTMENT WITHOUT CONTACTING US SEVERAL TIMES, and raises rent but doesn’t do anything to show why he’s raising it. If this doesn’t show you he is a slum lord then maybe him not having any contact information on this page does. lol Matt is an absolute joke his brother should be the one running the place. Hope you see this Matt and good luck on getting anyone to live in your properties."

"These apartments are okay. They suit my needs at the time. However don't expect management to do anything about your requests or complaints. Our neighbors are very noisy and they are heavy smokers even though it says no smoking inside they smoke anyway and the whole entrance to the apartment ssmells. They try to keep the smell down by opening windows which only makes it colder inside during the winter. Which brings me to my next point of the poor insulation. Expect to pay big electricity bills as your heat will be turned up very high in order to keep warm. We had to set our heat to 75 so that we could keep from freezing. I barrowed a laser temperature gun and it was reading 53 degrees in my room with the heat at 75. Overall if you are needing a budget place this is okay. No crime and people generally leave you alone."
