"I don't like writing bad reviews or complaining, but what happened to me was too serious to not mention. This is a little long but this needs to be said. For a few years my experience here was good, not many complaints at all. Even recommended this place to friends. Last year though, things went downhill in a way that made me seek out a dental surgeon. I went into Streetsboro Dental for a few fillings in spring 2023. An old filling had broken and fallen out, and when I told them, the best they could do was a couple months out even with an open hole in my tooth. They took an xray and I waited. The teeth that needed filled were in a difficult spot but I thought since it had been a few months, they should take new xrays considering the state of my tooth. They did not take new xrays even though I voiced concerns if an infection could have developed. They said if it wasn't bothering me it was fine. So they filled the teeth. A month or two later, I started getting severe pain in my jaw that spread to the side of my face. It was so bad I sat in bed shaking and could barely eat or sleep. I called Streetsboro Dental and said I had an emergency, that I had a severe infection from the filling and a lump was forming on my lower jaw. I asked for antibiotics from my GP doc. SD said to come in and assured me the meds would take care of the infection, but the tooth needed pulled because 'the nerve was dying.' Out of nowhere I guess. The pain got worse and I rushed to the nearest med center because the lump on my jaw got bigger. There wasn't anything they could do, as I was already on antibiotics, but the infection was coming out in my sinuses and all over the right side of my face. I immediately called Streetsboro Dental again and told them to please get me in ASAP, the problem was serious. The lump got bigger. They refused to give me more antibiotics and said they'd put me on a waitlist if anyone cancelled, but best they could do was TWO MONTHS for an emergency! The extraction guy is only in TWO days a week. Thankfully most of the infection cleared up in my face, but the lump remained and you can feel it on my lower jaw. I tried to go in twice to get the tooth pulled, but the infection and damage is so bad the numbing shots wouldn't work. The second time the dentist stabbed me in between the TEETH without warning to inject more numbing agent and I nearly passed out from the pain and misery of the whole thing. We are now into February of 2024, and the infection is still growing. I finally made an appointment elsewhere, a dental surgeon, and he showed me the large infection. Not only do I feel I was misdiagnosed at Streetsboro Dental (the 'dying nerve'), I should not have gotten such a serious and potentially life-threatening infection from a filling. The surgeon said the infection was eating away at bone. I did everything I was supposed to from the beginning. Called right away to get the new filling once the old one broke (old one was from elsewhere). Salt water rinsed. Reported issues immediately. Got antibiotics (3 times because of the long wait). I could not have been more on top of things. I will never go back to this place if I can help it because of the trauma I've got. This has been a scary nightmare and I'm still afraid for my health, but the new place I'm going to scheduled me much sooner than SD, in three weeks. We'll get the tooth out and hopefully I can begin to heal and this will be the last of my dental issues for a while, if I haven't got an antibiotic-resistant infection."

"Great dentist but office staff is terrible. Very rude and unreasonable due to a missed appointment at there own fault. I had an appointment card with a time but no date and I called in and was told I missed the appointment and now I'm not aloud to reschedule. Not at all fair considering it's there responsibility to date the appointment card which I took in and showed them and they still told me I'm not aloud to reschedule. Wish they would be more considerate of there mistakes and the fact that people work and have children and just can't come in on a whim."
