"I see so many reviews that are upset they ask for the money upfront. A lot of dentists have turned to that. I don't know why but to me your getting mad for no reason. Is Dr. Kim strick yes. He wants u to do everything his way. I didn't mind that b/c it made my surgery safer, easier and me/the staff was relax during the whole thing. I communicated with them I had ghost veins bc I was getting put under. So glad I did bc again it lighten the mood and Dr. Kim would let out a few laughs on things I was asked bc I was openly honest. Dr. Kim is not here to be our friend. He's here to take care of our teeth and move on to his next patient. If u follow his rules, understand he's an old school doctor u will understand/get better treatment. I will tell this it is his way on the rules, they highlight the most important ones especially if ur getting put under. I did just that and I was in & out in a little over an hr for 4 teeth/being put under. They made sure I was ok before I left. The nurse would get on me a little bc I wasn't taking deep breaths like they wanted me. No she was not rude but I wasn't going to be allowed to leave until I got my oxygen up. Last. All the office staff was extremely helpful and extremely nice to me. However I understood they wasn't there to be my friend and there to do their own job. Smiles was on their faces. After I recovered from waking, I was walked out to my car. The lady nurse help me get in, give me a few instructions again and my fiance took us home. After about 4 hours from my surgery Dr. Kim office called me to check on me to see if I was doing fine. Also told me if I have questions/extra pain to please call them. Now to me I fell like they care a lot. Again they r not here to be ur friend. Also going in you need to understand Dr. Kim is old school. Follow his rules and u will be in great shape. Just so most of you know he has trained so many dentists in/around this community. So he knows what he is doing, he just want u to follow the rules and not try to be a wise guy/girl. I will return for any future oral surgery. I wad extremely pleased"

"I called around to several different locations to find a place that took my insurance. It was one of my first questions when I called. I was told they took my insurance and scheduled me a month out for a CONSULTATION. When I got there I saw the doctor for only a minute before he said he would pull it that day. I had told them prior that the tooth had been bothering me. But I wasn’t expecting it to be pulled that day as it was a consultation appointment. I felt rushed into it. I was in a vulnerable position. I originally wanted sedation and that was the reason I went to an oral surgeon. So I asked for nitrous. They agreed to that. Then the woman came in to tell me that it was going to be $595 to do it because they weren’t in network with my insurance. I was completely taken off guard as I asked before scheduling the appointment if they were in network with my insurance. I would’ve never scheduled with them had they told me at the time that they were not. I was in so much pain that I stupidly went along with it. I was able to cover all but $95. And I could pay the $95 the next day. They asked for a card or a post dated check for the next day. I agreed to give them my card number to bill me for the $95 the next day. Then they pulled me out of the room and asked me if I could do it without nitrous. I knew then that they likely didn’t want to give me nitrous because I couldn’t pay the full $595 upfront that day. I was pretty hysterical at this point but again I agreed to just try without because I was in pain with this tooth. So they proceeded to numb me and then attempted to remove the tooth which I could feel everything. So they waited and tried again a few minutes later. Again it was too painful and I was hysterical. So they told me they would schedule me the next week to be sedated and have it pulled but it would cost me upwards of $800. Then they scheduled me 2 weeks out instead of the following week. I asked the woman who scheduled me a couple of general questions about the insurance because I didn’t understand and she was unwilling to answer my questions. She just blew me off. It felt very cold and uncaring. I knew I wouldn’t be returning to them because the experience was awful. I allowed myself to be talked into things because I was in pain. The environment of the office was not welcoming. And I felt tricked into coming there by the scheduler because I know I asked about them being in network. I feel like it was deceitful and I felt very rushed. I ended up going to Empire dental and had a completely different experience and didn’t have to pay a dime because they were in network. I didn’t feel a thing when they pulled it but I was terrified the whole time because of the experience I had with this office. I would not recommend."

"Surgery went fine, until I called 2 weeks post surgery with pain and swelling and was told to wait since the doctor was out of the office. Office staff was very rude and tried to collect over $2000 before ever billing my insurance. Also I didn’t realize these type of places did not help you get this covered by insurance prior to actually doing it. Clinical staff were excellent. Day of surgery I waited in the room for at least an hour, alone and 1.5 hours past my apt time. Overall, I’m just glad it’s all over. If I had to go back, I don’t think I would do it again."

"Dr. Kim did our son's wisdom teeth extraction 10 years ago and was very professional and did a great job. He healed wonderfully! This past Monday he did wisdom teeth extraction on our 16 year old daughter. He was very nice, kind and caring. She did extremely well. Only had some swelling and the Ibuprofen that was prescribed took care of her pain. The office staff was very friendly and even called two hours after we got home to check on her. I highly recommend Dr. Kim."

"Seems like he knows what he's doing and has a lot of experience but told my fiancee 3 times that she might die during wisdom teeth removal. She is also allergic to latex and they used latex gloves and she broke out under her chin where the staff touched her face. Staff are unfriendly and very inhospitable. They were cold and distant and not welcoming at all. 2 stars only because he seems experienced"
