"Thee worst place to get any type of dental work done. Completely rude staff and double charging, bills your insurance then still sticks you with large bill, then refuses to see you on any follow up work until Bill is paid in full."

"I was excited when a friend referred me to Decatur Dental. I’m getting married next summer and my fiancé and I agreed one thing we wanted to spend money on was my smile. I called the office and a lady named Julie answered and told me to hold because she didn’t do the scheduling. After being on hold for 15 minutes I gave all my information and was transferred back to Julie to be scheduled. After giving my insurance information (HIP) I was told they didn’t take my insurance. I said that wasn’t a problem but could they provide me with information on CASH patients. She passively aggressively informed me that dental care can be quite expensive. I stated that this is why I was requesting more information, due to the fact that my fiancé and I were working on budgeting my dental work. She then asked me for the second time if I was experiencing any issues with my teeth, considering I had already explained this to her I felt it was no longer necessary to carry on a conversation and waste anymore of my time they were very rude and very unprofessional and unorganized. I hope the dentists that they work for our aware of how they are dealing with their potential new clients"

"I will never go back to Decatur dental. I have been treated very poorly. I went in after having my teeth filled every other year for 7 years. To be told I need dentures which I knew was likely after 3 pregnancies and having hg I just knew. It’s going on 2 months since being the plan. They told me two weeks to hear back from insurance, took a month. When I’d call and check they were extremely rude, acted like I was stupid. They gave me a quoted price of 2000$ out of pocket. But when I called they told me $6000. So I wanted info about payment plans because it needs done right? Well who ever I left a message with never called back ive called 5 days in a row for her to be out of office and today when I finally got to talk to her, she was completely rude saying she didn’t have any of my paperwork, didn’t know what I needed done. The communication this company has is terrible! They don’t care about there patients. I’m not sure if it’s the Dentist at fault but his staff! They haven’t taken my Medicaid insurance off that I haven’t had for 2 years and are trying to charge Medicaid, after telling them NO more then 6 times in 2 months. I don’t recommend at all."

"I am so disappointed with this place. First of all I have had multiple extractions over that years and never had a bit of trouble once past the trauma of the extraction. However, the last two times I had a lot of bone fragments rising thru the surface of my gums(very painful). Both of the last two extractions we're performed here. This could be coincidence. More to the point of this post, I sat till well past my appointment time and registered my insurance ( medicare advantage ) no problem. However after the procedure I was informed that my insurance probably would not cover it. THIS IS NEED TO KNOW INFORMATION FOR SENIORS. I would have reassessed the situation had I known this beforehand, very sketchy. My biggest complaint is that my doctor straight up lied to my face! I am very aware of my tolerance to pain and sensitive stomach issues. Dr. Said they were no longer allowed to prescribe any real pain medicine. My research says this is untrue it is up to Drs discretion. There is a statewide web site that tracks pain med prescriptions had they taken the time to check me out they would find no narcotic prescriptions since my last major surgery years ago. Instead I suffered a 8 or 9 on the pain scale for 2 weeks and a return to have bone ground from my jaw. During recovery I consumed the dental techs recommend amount of ibuprofen and acetaminophen for the four weeks of recovery. Side note my intolerance to mouth pain is the very reason I avoid dentists in the first place. Needless, i will be moving to a different clinic and would not recommend this service to anyone."

"Wonderful experience for getting a root canal, 2 cavities filled & a temporary crown in 1 visit. Dr Baker is so caring & polite. I have bad anxiety with doctors and he kept reassuring me and saying "thank you' every time he'd have me open and close my mouth. The kindness from him and his staff was so nice and very rare to find anymore. Couldn't be happier with my visit."
