"Be careful when buying jewelry from them. They just started putting “Origin Undetermined” on diamonds after I questioned the owner of EBTH about a diamond I bided on and won. I refused the auction when I felt uncomfortable with his explanation. I believe they allow retail jewelers to use their website to sell lab grown diamonds (not from a true estate). Just be careful. When they put “origin undetermined” you can bet the diamond is not from an estate and is from a jewelry dealer or retailer. Probably a “treated” lab grown diamond."

"EBTH always has unique items that are priced very reasonably. I don’t know where else I could have found a beautiful fur coat for my wife at such a low price. Everything I have bought here has been described accurately and is in great condition."

"I have purchased several lovely items from EBTH, including room sized Oriental carpets. Condition has always been accurate. My one concern is their increased shipping rates. Where I once may have purchased a lower priced item I no longer am willing to pay $35 for something like a pair of earrings. Be careful and always look at shipping…it can be hundreds of dollars on some items. I have also sold several items and have been very happy with the results."

"This is a great way to get used, or sometimes new, items at a great price. You have up to 4 days to review, star what you like, and make bids. You bid against other people for the item and you are alerted anytime there is a bid for the items you want. There are some great bargains on upscale items such as watches, designer handbags, jewelry, art, loose gemstones, etc. You will likely need to Google some of the pieces to understand their true value. That said, what I don't like are the fees. The merchandise is located in Ohio. For most of what I purchase, there is a $32 shipping fee + and Administrative fee of $4. For something as small as a ring, that is ridiculous. As well, if you sell something on their site, the pricing tiers and what they charge is enormous. All in all, I keep going back to look for specific pieces that are not available or priced advantageously on other websites. I do recommend this site, but understand the fees and the value of what you buy!"
