"Have used them for approx 4 years and last years return process was absolutely horrendous. Jeff Tenant, took 10 months to get our return mailed to us. Just received the print out on 2/10/22. In December we told him he didn't even have to mail it to us since we had printed it electronically ourselves. (We moved out of state). The biggest problem is that Jeff filed an extension for us on the deadline without our prior knowledge. He then said he would have them done by end of May. He never even started them until the 2nd week in October. Then when he finally did them, minor things like our address & bank account were wrong. He kept putting our return off which caused us over $100 in fees with the IRS since he didn't file it timely in May as he had said he would. We previously have never received any kind of penalty from the IRS. Then to top it off, we paid him in full in April 2021. We sent him a little more than the past 2 years thinking his price had gone up. When he sent the final bill in October his price hadn't gone up, but do you think he did the right thing and refund us the excess we sent him? NO he did not!! Sent him numerous emails throughout the entire year for status and to make this right & he would only respond to part of the issues listed in an email. Totally disappointed and would not recommend them any longer. Also filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. Seems like other customers have had some issues with this establishment. If they were overwhelmed & couldn't take on any more returns, they should have told clients to find another company. This is not how you treat your long term customer base."

"Poor service. Steve, President of the company, while preparing my taxes did not do his due diligence on checking my city tax payments and was asking me to overpay without verifying my balance. Then he proceeded to suggest I file joinyly though filing separate in my case was more advantageous which was a difference of several hundred dollars. Then he miscalculated my federal return which held up my refund several months. Once corrected by the IRS and confronted he wouldn't admit fault for incorrectly computing instead claiming they were wrong."

"We have been long time clients of Ralph for years and he was very attentive and accurate and we were very very satisfied with his services, god bless his soul and may he rest in peace. Although, our taxes was pawned off to another staff member and made errors, and even spelled my daughter’s name incorrectly when the documents of the correct spelling was even provided, therefore the IRS had to make adjustments to our return, in which delayed our return for three months. When address the issue, the president was very short with us and was unapologetic about the situation. We will be taking our business else where."

"I contacted the President of EZ Tax after a discrepancy was found in my return his company prepared and filed. The night of our meeting, he could not offer explanations for any of my questions. He requested two weeks to investigate, which I agreed to. After numerous emails and phone calls, he requested until the end of the week. Again, after phone calls and emails, he did not respond. Another colleague finally called me and informed me there was nothing they could do, the timeline for a corrected filing had expired. Never did I hear back from the president. Never an apology for the error and he never correcting the incorrect calculations. If you are looking for a company that cannot answer your questions, refuses to stand by their work and will not return your email or phone calls, EZ Tax is for you."
