Geneva Income Tax

Geneva Income Tax is an accounting and finance institution located at 44 North Forest Street in Geneva, Ohio, United States. They are responsible for handling all 2023 tax filings and payments, which are due on April 15, 2024. The institution operates Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, and on Saturdays from 8:00AM to 12:00PM between March 2 and April 13, 2024.

Residents who are 18 years of age or older must file a yearly tax return, as well as businesses located in or operating within the City of Geneva. Non-residents must file if they have income earned within Geneva that is not fully withheld upon, or if they have a business or rental property in Geneva. The current tax rate is 1.5%, with a maximum credit of 1% for taxes paid to other municipalities.

Geneva does not currently accept electronic filings, so paper copies of necessary forms must be provided. Retired residents who receive only non-taxable income may file a one-time Exemption Certificate. Tax returns can be dropped off at the City of Geneva or mailed to the institution's address.
