"Normally me and my wife do our taxes on our own. This year was a little differant so we went to our local H&R Block. We could use the tax refund advance they offer and there price of 69 dollars was fine with us. After it was all said and done though, it was a differant story. What started of at 69 went up to 240, and then finally over 500. They didnt tell us all this until after our taxes where done. Also refund advance......its not an advance, its a short term loan that is very dependant on credit. We where denied. I could have told ya we would be denied for a loan i already knew that. No one there bothered to tell us all that though. If your looking for a place to do your taxes save some money and do it yourself or go someplace else. The price they charged might have been worth it had we gotten the advance. But not getting the advance and paying over 500 dollers....not even close to worth it. Go some where else. Update: So on top of all of the above, H&R block stated that they would be taking there overpriced 500 dollar fee out of our federal taxes. We got notification that our state tax was coming this week. We really needed the money and expected it. Guess what....nope that money went to them for there Fees because supposedly President Trump signed some legislation stating it was so. Once again the gave us false information. There service was not anywhere near worth the cost we ended up paying. Our taxes where not that hard at all. Not even close. Go somewhere, anywhere else than this place. Update 1. Recived the notice on why we where denied for the H and R Block Advanced refund from Axos bank 1. Insufficiant refund amount. ( we had 3k+ coming to us, asked for 1500) 2. Information related to our priror tax return. ( what?) 3. Unable to validate ability to repay loan ( what?) So we where told the advance would be automatically payed back without us having to do anything so none of the 3 made any sense what so ever to us. Sounds pretty damn fishy to me....ohh and the cash advance...yep hit my crimedit on a hard pull. As per the response we conacted the number provided and talked to a representative. I will update when i recieve more information on our case. Just got another call. Good news we got charged the exact same rate a large buisness would have. There is absolutly H&R block will do to ficmx this situation. Beware abd be warned. Find someplace else to do your taxes. This place dont care 1 but for there customers."

"I worked for the one on Livingston. Worse experienced ever. The job itself I loved the environment the staff the manager's. Terrible it was so ghetto so unethical I got played out of my bonus. Staff was old bullies. Manager Laura was a mess just terrible I could say so more but I'm not. They ruined what was a good experience for me. All they did was set up and talk about each other. Mitch the head manger he's the worse him and Laura is the reason y they gone have a law suit.."
