"I cannot begin to describe the level of frustration we had to go through during a pandemic for something so simple!!! I wouldn’t usually go out of my way to leave a bad review, but I this time I had no other choice because I don’t think we’ve ever been treated so poorly before…. My husband and I both work for tech companies and have W2s, and we sold some company stocks, that simple. We started our return process with Joyce about six weeks before the deadline. She hardly replied to any of our messages and/or phone calls because she was always “busy with a client”. She sent us three versions of the return, each had more mistakes than the last. No matter how many times we had to explain to her about RSUs and adjusted cost basis, she did not seem to be able to get it right. This went on until two days before the deadline, when our stress level was peaking because now she started to completely ignore us, and even ignore that we were constantly begging her to least help file for an extension because we were clearly missing the deadline. I believe the last return that I sent back a week ago is still sitting in her inbox, she just decided that she no longer cares to finish the job now that we've paid the fees. Do yourself a favour and take your business where they have the basic knowledge for what you’re paying them to do, and have at least the slightest bit of decency to treat their customers like human beings."
