Avis Car Rental

"Car was great except when doing a walk around when getting the car, I noticed the door skin to the fuel door was missing (just the plastic frame). When I mentioned it to the attendant when exiting Avis, she didn’t say anything but “You’re good to go”. I even sent a reply to the email I got later from the Avis Airport Manager, Ryan Vance, at Dayton Airport with a photo and didn’t get any reply back. I was only concerned about getting charged for damage I didn’t cause and that was the condition of the car when I received it."

"Avis quoted me $74.04 for a one day car rental, but charged me $133. The agent at the drop off location, could not explain why the charge was different. The car was fine, but it is unacceptable to have such a drastic difference in price that still has not been corrected."

"I want to express my extreme disappointment with the recent rental service I experienced with Avis. Upon picking up the vehicle at Dayton International Airport on Thursday , December 21 I was shocked to find that the car smelled strongly of marijuana smoke. This not only compromised my comfort but also raised concerns about the vehicle's cleanliness and adherence to Avis' standards. It is my hope that Avis will make me whole and do the right thing."

"Today at Avis, two people that rented a car were not given the car due to an over booking situation. What then followed, a 3rd party company employee came in and challenged the customer to “come out side and settle things”. They did not give me the paper receipt requested and I had to wait 20 minutes at the counter to get it. Only reason they get a star is because to give them a bad review I have to give them one. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. THIS INCLUDES BUDGET."

And the great personality, it matters and makes a difference. Thank you for that difference, it is better. When I pulled up in front of your building, I was confused and thought it was in the main terminal. Short-term long-term parking bus guy, cut me off when I was parking in front of where I had to go. But I had not yet figured out that is where I needed to go. So this was an unnecessary not so good experience with that part of the airport. He literally pulled in at an angle, trapping me in. Then his explanation was, what makes you so special over our customers? I looked around, and there was nobody in sight. I'm not sure what he meant but it was not something I want to remember. I hope after our chat, he rethinks his approach possibly. Maybe being awake for other people, does make a difference and is recognizable. But he showed me!!! And I would do it again, because I had too. Being that there is zero parking where I can get out of my vehicle. It was a special situation and I needed to know where I could park my vehicle, because I didn't need short-term parking. I need an access to Avis. Bring an extra bag of patients. Cuz you will need it in Dayton Ohio. Ryan however, made Dayton a great experience, these are the people I want to get to know better."
