"We were so hopeful when working with McSwain because my parents had gotten their carpet through McSwain and had a wonderful experience. We contacted McSwain for a quote on carpet and Mark was great to work with! He came out to the house within a few days, we received our quote the next day and came in to pick out carpet. We were able to schedule installation within two weeks and so excited to finally replace our carpet! We were so disappointed with the installation process. We were told a certain day and time, and the installers were hours late and their work ethic was poor. We were told this would be a one day job, and due to the late arrival of installers and their work, the one day installation was not happening. Our upstairs was left with exposed tack strip in the hallway and bedrooms, and carpet laid in the hallway where we could not even walk to get to our bathroom. We have a pet and I am pregnant, and leaving tack strip exposed is just not acceptable. We managed however to walls round carefully and thought the installers would be coming back the next day. However, they told us they could not come back for three days…Again, we said okay and worked around the mess. The morning the installers were to come, no one showed up and no one answered our calls. It was a weekend day, but promised the installers would be there. We called the shop and Mark was so apologetic, he had no idea the problems we were having. Mark tried calling several people, and no one could give us an answer. After about 8 hours of waiting for someone to show up and finish the job, we were told no one would be coming out that weekend. I was now extremely unhappy because we had taken off work, paid over 2,000 and there was no follow through on McSwains part. The installers ended up showing up two days later and my husband had to leave work because no one called to tell us the installers were coming. The installers did actually work, but still did not finish the job. They had the small part of our landing to do and again we were told they’d come out in two days to fix it. Again, these people did not show. We called so disappointed and upset. McSwain sent out head installer to finish the job. He was very nice but at this point we were so unhappy and just wanted the job done. We asked for money back due to the poor job done and time this took to complete, and the challenges we endured. We were given 300 which I thought was incredibly low due to what we went through, especially when one of the workers told me this has never happened and told me McSwain doesn’t run this way, but I guess 300 is something. I am just so disappointed in the installation and communication. Mark was wonderful to work with and I do think the quality of carpet is good, but the installation work and headache was something I never want to deal with again. I unfortunately will not be recommending McSwain to friends and family, and will not use them for further flooring needs."

"Terry was extremely knowledgeable and pointed us to the best carpet and pad for us. He also did a wonderful job measuring to ensure there was no excess waste. Brian’s installation was perfect. We are renovating our home and only had the master suite carpeted at this time. As we finish other rooms we will be purchasing carpet for the other bedrooms and family room from McSwain. We will also be requesting Brian’s team return to do the installation."

"Galy is exceptionally knowledgeable in this field. We visited this store multiple times and she kindly spent a lot of time with us until we felt comfortable with our flooring selection and purchase. The installation process was a bit tricky with the supplier issue and took longer than we expected, however that has been resolved. Our project was completed today with 3 gentlemen working quickly and diligently a little over 4 hours and my basement looks spectacular! Thank you so much!"

"This is the second time I have use McSwain's, though it will also be the last. My experience with the consultants is always positive, but the execution is always lacking. The first time I used them, there were gaps in my flooring, improperly cut trim/baseboards, and door trim that has over a half inch gap between the floor and trim. The first time, I caught their contractors in my kitchen eating my potato chips (cant make this up) and the second time, they urinated all over my bathroom floor and left my partner's 500 dollar dyson hair dryer in a pool of water on the vanity (thankfully it still works). I have attached just a couple photos of the bunch. *9/7/22, I appreciate the owner's response, but the installation issues were never fixed. They are still like this today. *"
