Although Refund Advance loans are no longer available this year, we offer appointments for in-person tax preparation, drop-off tax preparation, and assistance with IRS letters. Early Refund Advance was available at select locations from December 11, 2023, until January 14, 2023, and No Fee Refund Advance was available from January 2, 2024, until February 11, 2024, at most locations.

"Don't go to Jackson Hewitt. I went and had my taxes done on 1/15/23 and kept looking for both federal and state to receive them Federal was fine. Kept looking for state and it kept saying no information. I called 2/15/23 to Jackson Hewitt and they said yes it was sent on 1/18/23 to state. I called state today and they said it wasn't sent until yesterday. What a coincidence. Me calling yesterday made Jackson Hewitt send the return through. I paid over $600 in fees thinking that the returns would be sent on time. I won't be coming back that's for sure."
"Tax professional didn't explain what was being charged or explain what was going on. Walked into the office and it seemed very run down flickering lighting and very unprofessional and not private. Repeated our social security number so other clients could hear our personal information. Feel like I really got scammed and put into a bad situation with my personal Information being put into the open"
"Had an appointment took today for noon and nobody’s is here. I had to take the day off of work. If I had done this at my job, I’ve been fired would not recommend doing your taxes with them if they can’t open when they are supposed to, what a joke."
"Both Brett and Paul were extremely helpful. They both helped me with a new problem none of us have dealt with before. They both were very social and apologetic when I was put on hold a few times to help fix my problem with my serve card. I would recommend Jackson Hewitt to everybody."
"First of all I would like to say Danielle was professional, efficient and courteous. With that being said, I was very disappointed with my experience. I was a repeat customer and was charged $93 last year to prepare my taxes. This year I was told my base fee would be over $300, but because I was over 65 I would get a 30% discount bringing my fee down to $212. Reason given, I had more forms. I lost my job due to the pandemic in 2020 and had two forms from Ohio Department of Job and Family Services for unemployment. It took all of about 20 minutes to prepare my taxes. I was offered a sheet of referral coupons to hand out to friends and family. I declined the coupons, will not be referring anyone and will not be back next year. This was nothing but a money grab."
