"Wonderful family run business. Run by honest, hard-working people."

"I had the engine from my 1912 Model T rebuilt at Ron's. Over 5 years later it's still running strong. Much more power than before, no leaks, no knocks, BJ and Casey know what they are doing and are highly recommended. And always remember, you get what you pay for. Other shops may be a little cheaper but their engines just don't last as long."

"Actually stopped to visit the Salty Dog Race Museum and wound up meeting Ron, the owner of the Machine Shop next door. He said they specialized in rebuilding old engines. Ron is retired now and his son is running the shop. He said they are as busy as ever . So if you have an antique engine or old race engine, plan accordingly..."

"I've heard good things about this shop but after using them and dealing with them several times I would have to disagree. I dropped off an engine part and asked for a quote before any repairs were made. After three months and four phone calls asking for a price they tell me the part is done. Never did get the quote, just the run around. So I just paid the high bill and took it home. I put the head on and it leaked compression around the valves worse than it did before I dropped it off. I called back and was told "huh.......we lapped the valves in." I ended up spending an hour (2 hours total) per valve hand lapping them in to get them to seal. I've called for other parts and services and they never seem to return phone calls. Basically, if you can go elsewhere I would suggest it. It's a shame because they have a nice shop but the way it's run is the downfall of it."
