"I stayed in one of Dana's Properties back in 2017-2018, the rent was fair, we had an apartment that wasn't "Up to date" meaning the carpet was older appliances where older, countertop was older (ext), but all was in good repair and order. The rent was more then fair, Dana was easy to get along with, and he made a strong effort to keep his property in good condition. I know at the time Dana had mentioned working on updating the unit that we where prospecting, but with a little one on the way we where looking for a older unit with a fair price and good repair, point being the "out of date" aspect of my review may not be applicable now. Dana had a fantastic maintenance program which was often a gripe with my previous rental experience (Call in a issue and wait sometimes weeks, months, or the issue was just ignored), Dana's staff on the other hand where out the next day or day after and where professional and resolved the few issues we had in a very timely manor. I recommend him to anyone that mentions apartment hunting in New Carlisle or Dayton area, definitely worth taking a look into on your hunt for your new home. Lastly I've had issues in the past Security Deposits being returned, Dana I had no issue what so ever, Dana set reasonable and fair expectations on what needed done upon move out to receive the full security deposit, I think we lost out on 10-15 bucks, but again Dana set fair expectations and we fell short on one the expectations (I think we forgot to clean out the fridge and stove or something like this), but still we received the fair return minus our deduction for failing in one of the aspects and we received it in the time frame that Dana advised us of prior to move in."

"We have been using Shock & Poores CPA since around 2006. I highly recommend them for tax preparation services for business and personal returns. They have another office in the Vandalia area also, but we live closer to the New Carlisle office and prefer that location. Dana Shock is always personable, helpful when we have questions about our business, and stays updated on tax changes & laws to keep us in the know on what we can and can't deduct. I personally enjoy his cautionary tales and lighthearted tax-related stories. Another fun touch (even though I can't eat candy) is that they attach a PayDay or Crunch bar to the envelope when you pick up your return, depending on whether you get a refund or owe. Our tax returns are always ready on or ahead of the date we are given, and the confidence in knowing we have a professional in our corner has proven invaluable during tax season. I like that Dana personally consults with us when we drop off our records and when we pick up our return to go over the details. I can't review their other offerings as we just use them for preparing our tax returns, but they have full accounting services and even Quickbooks pro support/training available."
