The masseuse was wonderfully skilled and made sure to make us feel so comfortable and completely at ease. Walked out feeling renewed and and purchased a second massage before leaving. "All the reviews about the receptionist at the desk are spot on. Not necessarily rude, just did not give an inviting vibe or feeling of hospitality you get and come to expect at a more established spa. She didn't seem to have any interest in being there at all. The message therapists were very, very nice. It was a "couples" massage but booked for my daughter and I (her first), so it was light to medium pressure. I have never had any other massage type other than deep tissue, so I didn't know what to expect, but it is definitely more light touch and light pressure. As I said, the therapists were very sweet. That's the only thing going for them from a "spa" standpoint. I pretty regularly get messages, but thought I'd try this place on Groupon for the deal with extra % off promo for my kids first time. You get what you pay for for sure here. Overall, 3 stars is generous. If you're looking for quality, spend the extra money and go to a more reputable establishment. This ain't it. It wasn't worth complaining about the receptionist to the receptionist lol we were having a mother daughter day and didn't want anyone or anything to spoil it. I feel I wouldnt have gotten anything out of it but more disappointment anyway. We just took the experience as a lesson learned and that there won't be a repeat visit."

"Incredibly disappointed by the service provided by Firewood Spa. I booked a couples massage as a birthday gift and after the appointment had already been confirmed, I got an email stating that one of the employees had requested off that day, so we needed to arrange for another day. My issue is that at no point was there an apology given for the fact that my appointment needed to be changed for an issue within the company, once again, after the appointment had already been confirmed for about a week. Incredibly bad customer service. Would not recommend this spa to anyone."
