About the Business

Red River Dog Farm

Red River Dog Farm is a Canine Enrichment Center located at 9818 Harrison Road in Wakeman, Ohio, United States. Specializing in breeding and socializing Portuguese Water Dogs, our farm is a place where dogs can truly be themselves. With plenty of space to run, explore, swim, and fetch, our dogs are happy and well-exercised.

Portuguese Water Dogs are hypo-allergenic and do not shed, making them a great choice for families with allergies. They are known for being smart, active, and great with kids. At Red River Dog Farm, we prioritize the health and wellbeing of our dogs, ensuring that each puppy mom is thoroughly screened for genetic health issues.

As your puppy grows, they will have the opportunity to explore our 5 acre farm and interact with different sights and sounds. Our dogs also participate in AKC competitions in CAT and Fast CAT, as well as lure coursing. Additionally, we offer agility training for puppies to bond with their owners and have fun with basic agility equipment.

Come visit Red River Dog Farm to see our dogs in action, whether they are swimming in the pond, chasing frisbees, or mastering agility courses. Your pup will love the experience and thrive in our enriching environment.

"Looks like you’re pulling up to someone’s house! just follow the obvious “dog signs” to the park. Lots of space and the ability to keep dogs out of the water super amazing."

"Best private space around for your dog to run around and be a dog! They have a separate area for your 4 legged family members to swim in a treated pond. The pond area is fenced off from the main area. They also have a bunch of training aids for canine action sports. There is a small barn for members that has picnic tables, coffee maker and a small fridge. My two German Shepard Dogs freak out whenever the word FARM comes out of our mouths. This is one of my favorite places to spend the afternoon. Everyone I have met here is friendly and respectful. This isn't a crazy public dog park. This is a private, clean, huge open space with plenty of room. Double gates to get in and out of the Dog Farm to keep your family/dogs safe."

"We’ve been members of Red River Dog Farm for a year now. This dog park is great! 5 acres of fenced-in paradise for our dogs, including the 1-acre self-contained, beautiful pond! There’s even agility equipment set up for anyone who wants to use it! Their yearly (and monthly) membership fees are very reasonable. Since it’s member-based, they require that all dogs coming in are vaccinated, heartworm-negative, and not aggressive toward other dogs. Red River Dog Farm is out in the country, so it’s a perfect setting for both the dogs and the owners!"

"We live in a neighborhood with small yards and the local dog park presents many issues. Our dogs are labradoodles who love to run and play and they love water. This farm is a place where dogs can be dogs. If you don't want your dog in the pond then you don't let them in that area as it is fenced off separately. The pond is taken care of by a professional company so it is perfect. Water, toys and poop bags are provided. It is open 365 days from dawn to dusk. It's a large outdoor play area with a rustic barn for people to relax in that has beverages, a TV and seating. It's a nice ride for us - about a half hour from Avon Lake."

"This place is great if you need a private dog park. The owners maintain it well and provide everything you need. The lake is treated specifically with dogs in mind which gives me comfort to let them swim and know they won’t get sick. They have a blast when we go!"
