"Small, and was very busy in the parking lot for 9am on a rainy Friday, but the pond area is gorgeous in the fall."

"★☆☆☆☆ Popularity ★☆☆☆☆ Size/Location ★★★★★ Terrain ★★★★☆ Scenery ★★★★☆ Accessibility ★★★★☆ Amenities ★★★★★ Condition ★★★★★ Safety Date visited: 09/14/2023 A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to explore Swaim Park, a charming gem nestled within the city of Montgomery. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the park's unmistakable identity as a cherished part of the city, thanks to a well-crafted map at the entrance. Finding a suitable parking spot posed no challenge on that particular day, as the medium-sized parking lot had ample availability. However, I couldn't help but wonder if there might be another parking area tucked away somewhere, as I observed a steady stream of individuals arriving to partake in the park's offerings. My journey through Swaim Park commenced along a paved walkway that meandered through its verdant expanse. The trail offered two distinct branches, one of which led me alongside two picturesque ponds that graced the landscape. As I strolled along, the serene waters mirrored the canopy of trees above, creating a harmonious fusion of natural beauty. My gaze was drawn to a charming gazebo perched by the water's edge, promising a sublime vantage point to soak in the idyllic scenery. Regrettably, it was already occupied, a testament to the park's popularity. During my visit, I noticed that the park was relatively tranquil, with only a scattering of fellow park-goers sharing in the peaceful ambiance. However, a lively group of teenagers, or perhaps college students, were engaged in spirited basketball games on the park's court, injecting youthful energy into the serene surroundings. As the day gradually transitioned into evening, more visitors began to arrive. The atmosphere took on a different character, as the fading light and the park's gentle illumination contributed to a sense of enchantment. Overall, I would recommend Swaim Park to all park enthusiasts seeking a serene and picturesque escape. While there may be larger and more grandiose parks in the vicinity, Swaim Park possesses a unique charm, perfect for those seeking a tranquil stroll, leisurely reflection, or a quiet interlude with nature."

"One of the best and quiet Parks. The problem is you can't reserve any shelter if you live outside Montgomery. Otherwise very nice place for families."

"Definitely one of the better playground sets in the area. Parents looking for the playground: use the parking lot off Zig Zag road (Google brought me to the other parking lot, which is still a very short walk to the playground, but it's not visible from that parking lot.) The tire swing was by far my kids' (3yo/6yo) favorite. A small swing set, several slides, and 3 separate playsets. The park also has tennis, basketball, and sand volleyball courts. A short paved trail for walks (or bicycles), and a nice little pond with plenty of benches to sit and enjoy. This place has quickly become a new favorite place to bring the kids!"

"Although it's a small park it is beautiful. The trail is shady and go past the ponds. The playground has different but fun equipment. It has a nice gazebo and plenty of other shady spots to relax in. I really loved visiting this park."
