"Older but really clean bathroom"
"This used to be a place families brought their kids to play and grill out. They have closed down the observation deck so you can watch the boats lock in and out now. Very disappointing my daughter can't witness the things I got to see as a kid..."
"You really can't get close enough to see boats going through the locks (like you could in the 90s). The picnic area is nice enough with multiple covered shelters to keep the sun off. Nice view of the river. Public restrooms with running water. Campground style grills are also available."
"Nice park but need to remove the security gate and open the viewers platform for those of us who are boat geeks."
"My wife and I took our granddaughter here on a Sunday and had a delightful time at the picnic Park. There are plenty of picnic tables and a nice view of the dam. The only drawback is that I seem to remember years ago being able to go much closer to the locks up on an observation deck and being able to see down into the locks themselves. This seemed to be all fenced off now. But on the bright side the restroom facilities for this picnic area are spotless and well-equipped which is a blessing."
