"Called yesterday to confirm stock. Was told it was available in store. Told them I was on the way today, and was told they'd hold it. Drove 45 minutes out of my way today to have someone on the floor literally laugh when I told them what I am there for. "Those are popular." I'll never bother with Rural King again."

"Normally,, I love this store. My husband age 70 and I'm 65 go in to get the feed, NORMALLY. But, last night I tried the online order and was very disappointed. My back has been bothering me so I thought I would order online and my husband could drive over and they would load it...Wrong. I didn't get an email that it was ready and we still had to go in, pick it up and load it in our vehicle. I ordered it last night so I figured it would be ready during the day, at least early morning, but we had to drive over after I got off work at 6. The manager didn't apologize or ask if we needed help loading. I think rural king needs to train people with online shopping."
"I am unexplainably drawn to Rural King Stores. When I’ve had my fill of the foo-foo stores that my wife drags my through, I feel the need to be like our old dog, and sneak away from the yard, roll around in something stinky; and this place fulfills that need. I love their coffee selections, and I can’t seem to stay out of the gun barn. I have to see what they have in the display cases, and see what ammo they have in stock. I always peruse through the Carhart section, and look at the Rural King ball caps, and invariably spend a couple hundred dollars every time I step into the store. I know I need help, but admitting that I have a problem is the first step toward healing."
"The staff are very friendly and helpful and the store's prices are usually comparable or better than some of their competitors. The only thing that may put some people off is it is an older building that they took over and it can seem a little gloomy or grubby and the ceilings seem low and it's just doesn't seem well lit sometimes but don't let it put you off. To their credit they took a vacant building a breathed new life into it instead of leaving it to rot."
