"The new visitor center is really great. I would recommend checking it out if you enjoy learning about our native wildlife. There is also a nice beach to view the lake from and a fun drive back with lots of bird viewing."

"This has a beautiful boardwalk going through the marsh, right next to Lake Erie. So many beautiful birds to look at, especially during migration season. Really spectacular! The visitor center is very nice. Right next door is also the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge."

"Stop here to walk the bird trail & see the beach. The area to the beach was overgrown quite a bit, but there were some open walkways to get to the beach without walking through weed. The beach itself is not meant to be swam at. There was quite a bit of garbage & dead fish all over the beach. We ended up just walking the beach, collecting shells, and just enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. There was an eagle nest in the trees right in front of the parking area. Ran out of time to walk the trail but plan to come back & do that next time."

"Beautiful and peaceful little place. I didn't even walk the whole thing but from what I did it was incredible. Lots of wildlife turtles, egrets, swans and cranes. Carp in the waterlily retention pond. Tons of birds and varieties. Saw quite a few blue winged warblers, bald eagles and cardinals. Nice areas to fish, picnic, and just find a tree to hang under. The marsh has such a peaceful symphony to enjoy! Great way to spend a day or afternoon. And there are plenty more nature stops to enjoy in the area as to enjoy!"

"It is very easy to find. The Marsh has a spectacular diversity of birds and birdwatchers in early May. On May 11, I've counted cars' license plates from 27 different states (including Alaska and California) in their parking lots + one from Ontario, Canada. On the boardwalk, besides the English language, I heard Spanish, German, and Pennsylvania Dutch (Amish people speak that). On that day, I made 13,953 steps (5.47 miles). In one day, I've found 68 different bird species, including 17 different warblers. This place is a must-see for any serious birder. It was very crowded in the morning on the boardwalks, but after 3 PM, there was much more free space there. I loved everything about Magee Marsh and will visit it again."
