"I love this park it's not a big park it doesn't have any playgrounds but for a stroll on a nice day it's amazing for that"

"Always a beautiful place to walk. Herons and loons on the pond, fishing from shores and boardwalks. Short, easy improved trails most of the way around Grangers Pond. Raised boardwalk traverses the marshy area through the trees"

"They put a deluxe porta potty in the park this year ( a new solution for park visitors instead of disrupting area businesses, judicial buildings, and other places in town? ) Anyway, love the events the town sets up for community. They keep up on cleanliness of the grounds ( trash cans accessible/ not overflowing, grassy areas are usually free from garbage and natural debris/ sticks/ waste...). Love the landscaping/ decor whenever seasons change. Whenever driving through town to head towards Mentor avenue, I'll make the extra turn or two just so we take the red brick road of Veterans park. So, a great place to have lunch, bring family, watch everyday of local goings-on, amazing community events. The officials have given priority to time and money for upkeep of the square and Id like to think it gives a sense, as locals, we feel pride in our little town. The park endeavors painesville to forge citizenship unity as an identity, striving us to Honor our connectivity, Veterans park, can create belief in genuine community."

"The park is centered around a monument "in memory of the soldiers of Lake County who died for the preservation of the union 1861-1865". Quotes on the monument: "The National Union - the palladium of our political safety and prosperity. Washington's farewell 1796" "Without union, our independence and liberty never can be maintained. Jackson's inaugural 1833" "To maintain the honor, the integrity and the existence of our national union and the perpetuity of popular government. Lincoln's proclamation 1861""
