"It’s my first hike along Lake Michigan. It’s beautiful and you can see Chicago in the distance. There are also come challenging dune hikes for those who are up to it!"

"Awesome lakefront park and beach! Porter beach area (south) had lots of parking, restrooms, and a grille and vending area. Line to enter can get long! The Beverly Shores beach area (north) has less parking and amenities, perhaps less busy. Both are dog friendly."

"First time being there and I didn’t get to explore entire location but we were at the beach facing side, hiking. Friends had dogs and they loved it. Has lots of beautiful spots to experience. We went in November and it was not too cold. There are restrooms available."

"Very busy place but fantastic! Multiple places to stop and see beautiful scenery. Lots of hiking trails with varying difficulties, along with handicapped accessible ones. Expect crowds and the visitor center (and gift shop) and West Beach, but once outside, there's room to spread out and relax! Staff is very well trained and knowledgeable...a must see!"

"Beautiful park with plenty to explore on a long weekend! The beaches are nice and well maintained. We enjoyed driving around Beverly Shores and seeing the Century of Progress homes. We hope to come back and observe the night sky next time."
