"Beginning when I was pregnant, I dreamt of a childcare setting where my daughter’s independence would be encouraged, where she’d develop a love of learning that would make her forever curious, and where she’d learn empathy and kindness from seeing and experiencing it in action each day. We had a wonderful daycare where we lived previously, but only when we moved to Ohio, and found TLC, was that dream fully realized. My daughter was there from age two until she went to Kindergarten. For the last two and a half years we’ve been fortunate to offer the same experience to my son. The teachers do not just meet kids’ needs, they are true partners in helping them thrive. The learning is quick, long-lasting, and inspires curiosity because activities are planned with the kids’ interests and learning modalities at the center of the lesson. Teachers don’t talk at kids, they talk with kids. They have conversations that help kids make connections and observations to make sense of their world and think critically. Through an extremely user friendly app, they keep parents informed about what’s happening throughout the day. Communication about my individual child’s health, needs, and goals has been excellent and demonstrates true care. I could go on and on. I’m so thankful there has been this place for my kids to be where I can walk away into my day and my work and know they are being cared for with the same values and approach to child development that we live at home."

"TLC is more than a daycare and preschool. It is a family, a community and the place my three children have called their second home since 2015. Every teacher and staff member goes above and beyond to not only take care of the children but to make sure it’s an environment which allows them to explore, play, learn and grow. My oldest child started kindergarten this year and I feel was extremely prepared from preschool. Their daily lesson plans and activities in all classrooms, regardless of age, are carefully thought out to ensure our children are hitting their milestones and thriving. Over the course of this pandemic, management has provided the information that parents needed and notified us directly if our children were in contact with someone in the center who tested positive. After speaking with the Summit County Board of Health, who called me once my daughter was in contact with someone positive, it was clear that TLC was taking the necessary precautions and doing everything in their control to help stop the spread within the building. If you’re here researching a care provider for your child or grandchild, I highly recommend TLC. I urge you to only consider the reviews from folks here with direct experience with the center."

"The understandable need to want to place blame has lead to negative reviews of this incredible business. TLC is an amazing daycare. The term daycare doesn’t do it justice as it truly serves as a home away from home. I was a part of the first classes of students at TLC when they opened in 1989. When it came time to select a place for my daughter, I had no doubts that TLC was the right choice! It is still run by the same original family who started the program because they were looking for quality education along with nurturing and loving care for their own children. Those same values run very true to this day. The piece of mind knowing my child is safe, loved and cared for while learning and exploring is priceless - I would HIGHLY recommend TLC to any parent in need of childcare."

"TLC is my children’s home away from home. They absolutely love going to “school” and are always excited to see their friends and teachers. My wife and I trust the staff and leadership explicitly. There is never a doubt in my mind or hesitation with entrusting TLC with the care of my children. The lesson plans are thoughtful and take into consideration the interests of the children.
