"Spent 45 minutes waiting in a 4 car line and they forgot the sauce. Steak n Shake as a chain is pretty good, but there is a better location on Sawmill"

"this steak 'n shake served us well. literally served, the manager brought our food directly to the table and said "have a good lunch" - gag! wow, 10/10, truly nothing to complain about (except for if we're being really picky like really in the nitty gritty of it all, the bathroom was out of paper towels). this was a clean steak 'n shake and just a good experience."

"Wonderful takeout tonight!! We get food in one evening a week and SAS was our pick tonight. Food was delicious and everything was right with the order. You just can’t beat a good frisco melt yummy!!! Will definitely be choosing here again soon."

"Normally I don't leave bad reviews since I always prefer to support and give a few chances but there hasn't been a time I've had good service or good food quality in this steak and shake. Apart that it looks abandoned the servers in the drive tru don't appear to have any training whatsoever in the food Industry. Leaving pictures of the thinest burger and maybe a good contender for a guiness world record."

"Their dine in seating is permanently closed. They are drive through only so research online for menu options because the drive through menu board shows few options but perhaps that's all they can make now. They don't start making your food until you order so it takes at least 5-7 minutes per car in the line. In other words this is NOT a fast food restaurant, it's a SLOW food restaurant. This speed is fine for a sitdown restaurant but not for drive through. The bowl the chili was packaged in was made from styrofoam and was obviously microwaved to reheat the chili. The sloped sides had become porous and absorbed the grease from the chili whereas the bottom remained unaffected. There were pits melted in the top edge and who knows how many chemicals absorbed into the chili. This is a major process/safety failure. The sandwich wrapper was greasy on both the inside and the outside. The sandwich itself did not seem greasy enough to account for this so they must have placed the wrapper on a very greasy surface when preparing the sandwich. It is fortunate that I had some leftover napkins on my seat and happened to set the bag on them or I would have had grease soaking into my leather seats. Additionally it seems the fries that I thought were supposed to come with the sandwich and drink were either not there or were some kind of high tech invisible, odorless, insubstantial, diet fries. Maybe some evil french fry ninja thief stole them. Well it wasn't all bad...the drink was pretty good and the server was polite. Needless to say but I am not happy with my experience. I won't be back until I forget about my dissatisfaction. I think I'll try Culver's and see if they can do better."
