"It's not the best library I've ever been to, but it's definitely not the worst either. There is an extensive section on local history, which looked interesting, but it's only open a few hours a day. They have a rather large collection of bound periodicals from the 40s through the 80s."

"I could get lost in this place; clean and a wonderful asset in the downtown Dayton area. I was there today for a networking meeting. Friendly staff. One of the gems of the Gem City. Keep up the luster Dayton Metro! Books are cool!"

"I love this library's selection and the staff have always been helpful and kind. I docked one star because I hate the new building design. The building is cavernous and seems to amplify sound, so it's not a quiet library during busy hours. I'm also not a fan of all that sunlight. I prefer a more sedate, dimly lit library."

"Although three rest of the library was clean and well-lit, the bathroom was in need of some attention. Staff were quick to address noise before anyone asked. The collection here is pretty massive with the floors to explore more and more. Lots of seating areas to read and study or just relax."

"What a truly and remarkable place this library is! Can you pull up it has a cutting yet metro feel to it -very modern. You do have the ability to park either on the street or in the parking garage. When we went on a Saturday we didn't have to pay for parking but it does appear the parking garage is set up for pay for parking so just be aware of that. When you walk in the front doors it's breathtakingly chic. You're greeted by the giant crystal type chandelier light in the lobby that spans from the ceiling just about the second floor. There's a beautiful staircase that takes you up to any of the three levels you want to go to right inside the main entrance lobby. The first floor you can use for internet or media searches and can return books at their automated return service - they have an automated checkout service as well. You can rent laptops if you desire. The first floor in the back left side of the building has a castle facade that kids can run and play on and served as the entrance to their children's books. Every floor does have conference rooms for just about any size conference and the second floor also houses a stage area where the Dayton ballet was holding since what a practice the Saturday we went to the library. They also have accomplishments That boasts of a green screen. There are more than enough places I want to sit on any of the comfortable lounge type chairs to full on couches- each with its own designated power supply and USB type media outlets. What are your book night or not You still owe it to yourself to check this place out. I promise you will not be disappointed with your visit. It is hands down the nicest library I've ever visited in my 42 years."
