"If you're by the mountain, keep a good eye on your snowboard as if someone grabs your board it will cost you $550. I've been trying to get in contact with them to see if someone returned it by now as the employee stated this happens often when someone grabs the wrong board, and theyd get it sorted in a few days. This happened on 1/20, i called them yesterday and they stated they do not have the waiver that I signed detailing what board i had. It just seems really disorganized to me, if you lose the board they wouldnt preserve that information. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if the employees steal the boards back from the mountain while you're using the restroom, then charge you for a missing board. Spend the extra few bucks and go with mad river mountain rentals."
"Sold me boots went snowboarding at the mountain for literally 4 hours, no crazy stunts just carving down the mountain getting the basics of snowboarding and within the four hours the lace hook broke they basically told me to get lost and it’s the company who made its problem not there’s this company just wants ur money don’t be fooled."
"Knowledgeable and professional. Been renting from them for 3 years and finally took the plunge and bought a board/boots etc. the owner and the kids he has working there know their stuff and are helpful. The prices are as good as online with the added bonus of having personal Guidance. Great local place, definitely happy to spend money there!"
"I just recently started skiing and got new ski boots yesterday. Today when I went skiing, I was almost in tears from the calf pain. I went to vertical drop to see if I needed new boots and not only did he give the perfect suggestion (heel lifts that have changed my LIFE) but he told me the heat molding wouldn’t help and he wouldn’t take my money for it, even though I suggested it. I will be back to rent skis every time I go to Mad River from now on to support this business. Thank you again!!!"
"What a great place! Bought a snowboard, bindings and boots and they did the entire setup and waxed it within 20 minutes. Prices are pretty standard and I would say more on the cheaper side especially for the rentals. Staff was super friendly and they helped us with everything that we needed. Definitely would recommend stopping here and grabbing rental gear or anything else you'll need before you head over to the mountain."
