"If you struggle with mental health illness my advice is stay farrrr away from Dr. Spare. He’ll only drive you to commit suicide. He’s unprofessional, apathetic, and quite literally a narcissistic egomaniac. He’s quite literally Nurse Ratched with a prick. Power hungry and corrupt. I wouldn’t put anyone I cared about in the hands of him. Beware of him and anywhere he practices. You’ll only come out with more trauma. How this man even has a license still is beyond me. He needs reported and will be reported to the medical board."

"Had to change an appointment, but the original one never got canceled like they said it would be. When i got the appointment reminder for the one that was supposed to be canceled, I called and had to leave a message because no one answered. this happened again and again. I called an additional 2 times where no one answered AND i could no longer leave messages. Not only that, but when i moved my appointment, they were supposed to call in a few of my meds to last until the new appointment. But i didnt get that either. So now im going thru withdrawals because i cant get my effexor or any of my other mental health medications. And i still cant get ahold of anyone."

"If you find yourself in the position where you have to go to this doctor or his office, be wary. I was referred there for treatment that no one else locally offered. (It didn't work, for the record.) It was initially covered by my insurance as an office visit with a $20 co-pay. A few visits in, they reclassified it as a "medical procedure" with a $200 co-pay, without telling me. They let me keep paying the $20 without notifying me and then sprung a $1240 balance on me. On top of that, they pre-ordered several hundred dollars worth of medication. I got sent to collections for both balances. And I never once actually saw a doctor."

"If I could leave less stars I would. This practice is terrible. They are all rather unfriendly, and push meds on you instead of drawing labs and figuring out what's going on. Then they are constantly having to be called to refill meds and do not communicate with their patients about what is happening. If you miss an appointment or, God forbid are late, they will punish you with extra appointments and trips to the office for their policies and not what actually needs to be done. They've been charged with Medicaid fraud for collecting money for services not rendered. DO NOT RECOMMEND"

"Dr spare after missing one appointment put me on the walk in clinic list. He took the right of me having my medication which I need. Also the np there was very rude. I had been a member of this practice 5 years and been a good patient never missing an appointment but one! This is a horrible practice go to OhioHealth behavioral health in Marion or make the drive to Columbus!"
