"I would absolutely recommend coming here for rehab. I have had numerous sports/ortho injuries from 2000 - current; some requiring surgeries and intense PT protocols for recovery. I was treated here for a spine/pelvis injury. I was initially being treated elsewhere but felt like I was not progressing and my concerns were being brushed off. Frustrated by this, I decided to get a second opinion. When I called the office to schedule and explain my story - I immediately felt a sense of relief. Their Office Manager, Rachel, was so supportive and empathetic. She listened patiently as I explained the history of my injury and ensured me that I would be placed with one of their spine specialists, Vince. Little did I know that Vince would be the spine guru! When I came to the office for my evaluation, I was very anxious. I had been told I had a herniated disc - I was desperate to avoid a spine surgery or anything invasive. The eval I received at Wadsworth Family was the most comprehensive evaluation I have ever received in my recollection. I was evaluated by both Vince and Samantha for a spine/disc injury and potentially a pelvis injury. Vince reviewed all of my history, including a spine injury from when I was a ballet dancer, and two hip surgeries when I was a runner and powerlifter. He asked more questions as to understand my injury more. Both him and Samantha validated how much pain I was in and how anxious I was. It felt like I was finally being seen, heard, and supported. This injury sidelined me all of late spring and early summer; I just wanted to get better and trust my care team. After my first visit, I knew I was in the right hands. Between my first and second visit, the team identified that my disc was not the issue but that my sacroiliac joint had upslipped. We began working on exercises to shift the joint in place and support the surrounding muscles/structures. I worked with PJ for about 4 months and learned SO much from him. He was always fun and patient; taking care to always validate my concerns and handle my many questions. As we worked on strength, I learned that my flexibility as a dancer was not helping me anymore. PJ explained how this pathophysiology works; and that I needed to learn to move my body differently. I learned that pushing myself to do certain stretches was not useful - and that the body doesn't need to be pushed past any certain points. This is the opposite of what you learn as a dancer and later in life, a lifter. This was a tough lesson for me, and something I really had to digest. The acceptance came over time and with supporting evidence from PJ. His expertise and empathy toward helping me was what really made everything clear. As I started to get better, and returned to activities in a safe way, I learned to truly listen to my body. I dont think I would have learned this valuable lesson so deeply had I not had the opportunity to learn from PJ. He always made our appointments light and fun! I am grateful that he took care of me. If you're thinking about coming here, I highly recommend you do. This practice has the heart and passion that some larger practices do not have. They treat their patients with empathy; and have an immense breadth of knowledge in spine health. I would absolutely come back here to rehab in the future, if needed. I am back to most activities - I'm hiking without pain, doing some yoga, and even jogged a little on the treadmill (for the first time in 3 years). Thank you Wadsworth Family PT for helping me get better - you're the best and I'm so grateful for your care!"

"Wadsworth Family Physical Therapy gave me my life back. When I started with them I was laying on the floor 75% of the day and in a lot of pain, after a neck fusion two years prior. I sure wish I had known about Wadsworth Family Physical Therapy before my neck surgery. I think they could have fixed me. After the neck fusion I was in more pain than before the fusion and I had tried many Physical Therapists but none helped me. At Wadsworth Family Physical Therapy, Vince (owner) and James very very slowly and carefully strengthened my neck and back muscles which took pressure off my shoulders where I was having most of my pain. They do it all from dry needling and message to exercises with bands and weights, whatever it takes to fix you. I have my life back. I honestly thought I’d be laying on my back for most of the rest of my life. I will be forever grateful"

"Friendly but you never see the same therapist twice. Very frustrating, when you where told in the beginning it would not be like that. ACL tear went from good to terrible. We told the therapist to go slow with our son. Third session they had him doing one legged squats. OMG really!!! They re-injured his knee. When I questioned the therapist about it. He said it’s like going up and down steps. One legged squats on a injured knee is NOT like stairs! The last thing, the place is like a revolving door. You feel like a number."

"I suffer from occasional bouts of vertigo ranging from fairly mild to severe dizziness accompanied by vomiting. I am fairly young to have frequent occurrences. WFPT has been very professional and scientific in diagnosing the type of treatment I need each time. They are very accommodating with scheduling. Their hours of operation suit almost any schedule. I have been able to return to a normal daily routine thanks to their tireless practice and patience with my condition."
