Robert J. Reitman, MED

"THIS MAN IS DANGEROUS!!!!! DO NOT SEE HIM AT ALL COSTS!!!!! I was court ordered to see Dr. Reitman when I was 17 years old. Not only is he rude and arrogant, but he has absolutely no clue what he is doing as a practitioner. One day I took a nap before our appointment and came into his office still tired. Dr. Reitman was convinced I was high, even though I was stone sober. He then made my Mom take me down to St. John Westhore immediately to get drug tested, which I passed with flying colors. Reitman for the life of him couldn't admit he was wrong, and insisted that I took something that could not be detected on a drug test, and that I was high when I went to his office that day. He said (with regards to violating my probation by getting high, which I cleary did not do) and I quote "that I would be going to ODYS and then have to get checked for AIDS when I got out". I am 37 years old now, my troubles from my younger days are far behind me, and I living a happy, wholesome and successful life. However, I will never forget how this man made me feel. Even if just one person reads this post, and it prevents them from working with him, then it will have served its purpose."

"As a teenager this man messed my head up more than any other health care professional still to this day, he’s the pure definition of a quack. Now as a 30 y/o adult I’ve been diagnosed Autism- when I was a teenager and all the signs were there and pointing towards the same inevitable diagnosis, he was more concerned with winning brownie points with my newly divorced mom and doubling down all her toxicity and quite literally pouring kerosene on an open flame; than actually recognizing what I was ACTUALLY going through and helping, from age 13-27 I then REFUSED to get and seek the help I needed because this man and his malpractice left me so jaded- that if that was what was considered “help” or “support” I didn’t want it. This man doesn’t deserve to practice period. He’s an awful human being."
