"Best Mexican food ever. Never gave much thought to them when they were at their previous location (By Leo Crossing), but was short on time once, and stopped to grab a couple taco supremes after fueling up. I was overly impressed!! Brought my wife with me to get dinner that night. She too was amazed!! We picked up food from there several times, then one day they were gone. The gas station attendant didn’t know what happened to them - and we were bummed. About a month later, we were headed to Walmart on Maysville Rd, and BOOM - there they were, southeast corner of 37/Maysville and Irving Rd! Which is actually much closer to us than before!! Of course we had to stop and get dinner on our way back home!! Heck yes!! We were back to eating or favorite Mexican food!! Don’t hesitate to make the trip out there to try some real, authentic Mexican food!! You will not be disappointed!! Though you can eat there, at the picnic tables in the summer, in general, you’ll have to take your food with you. I’ll say - if they started a sit down restaurant, we’d be there every weekend - and probably once or twice throughout the week too! We love getting out of the house for dinner on the weekends, and Mexican food is by far our favorite - and Los Portales is definitely one of the best!"
"We finally tried Los Portales. Some of the best tacos I've ever had by far! We got the birria tacos, pastor tacos, chorizo tacos, and also got some of the fresh made guacamole. It was all delicous and made to order. If you love good food and enjoy supporting local businesses, I encourage you to stop by and check them out. Food is great and the gentleman that owns it is very nice. 5 out of 5 pastor tacos!"
