"Dr. Kovach recommended an expensive, invasive procedure (fall of 2022) for me bc of some breakthrough bleeding, which she also stated was a side effect of the hormones I had been on for a year or more (due to heavy bleeding), and I refused the test. Instead I decided to "take a break" from the hormone and lo and behold, my breakthrough bleeding stopped. Later the following year (spring of 2023) I was having some VERY heavy bleeding during periods (something that has been normal for me my whole life), and requested that she refill the hormone prescription (which she said she would do when I was ready), but she refused bc I did not do the procedure she had recommended for me in the fall of 2022. This seemed more of a passive-aggressive decision and less a medical one in my eyes. I also don't like the way I always felt rushed during appointments, or was always gas-lighted about how painful procedures would be- for example, I had an abscess lanced and it was one of the most painful experiences of my life. Dr. Kovach made it seem like no big deal before we started. The only positive thing I can say about her at this point is that it doesn't feel like she is using a metal coat hanger when she does my pap smears like so many others..."
