"The Wapakoneta Red Roof Inn place is located right off the I-75 interstate highway. If you get a room in the back of the building you can watch the Semi-Trucks roar down I-75 Yep you can hear the trucks in your room, but not too bad. When I arrived, I requested a room in the front of the building away from the highway. No good, The building is in the process of having a new roof put on as of 10-9-2023. I looked on the ground and roofing nails were all over the drive in front of the office and all the front rooms away from the highway. I'm lucky I did not get a flat tire. I went back to the office and was given a room in the back of the building very near I-75 Interstate, where work on the roof had not yet started. I opened the room and walked in. I could not breath. The smell of cigarette smoke and something they must have used to try to clean the room of the cigarette smell was terrible. I went back to the front office and asked for another room. I was given a room in the back near the I-75. The smell of cigarette smoke wasn't as bad in this room, but it still was prevalent. I asked for a non-smoking room. I accepted the room with hesitation. I was tired. As I looked around I saw the room had mold in several places near the bathroom, Some mold was painted over, but easy to see. I wasn't going to sleep in the bathroom. I called the front desk and asked for a tea bag, towels, soap and shampoo that were delivered to my room. Hey, there were two packets of single cup coffee in the room. I woke the next morning congested, and coughing. The congestion went away several hours later. If you like cigarette Smoke smell, mold, and run down interiors. then the Wapakoneta Red Roof Inn is the place for you. BTW I slept at the Red Roof Inn in Berea OH the night before. The Berea Red Roof Inn was like a Palace compared to the Wapakoneta Red Roof Inn. The Wapakoneta Red Roof Inn service was good. The Wapakoneta rooms should be gutted, beginning with the floors, and including the ceiling tiles. Then re-modeled."

"I gave this two stars only because I have stayed in worse places. The location is right next to a truck stop and can barely be seen from the road. There were no hangers, no iron, or ironing board and no coffee. It's pretty run down. On the plus side, the bed, bedding and towels were fine. The A/C worked well; there was plenty of hot water and a big TV."

"Building looks run down and customers all look dirty and tired. However my room was clean quiet and no smells. shower water pressure was excellent, bed was ok but pillows flat as a pancake. Price was excellent. I was ok with my stay and would stay again but i know my wife would complain about the appearance, if she had been with me. Definitely for a guy looking for a cheap clean quiet hotel."

"I will not sugarcoat this. It is a older hotel, and was the only available hotel that allowed pets in the immediate area. Great location off the interstate. Wow the hotel is dated. The room was clean. The beds were clean and the people were friendly. The AC unit was limited, and did not provide full cooling, threw out the night, but it was sufficient. so I gave it for stars because I know they are trying and I’m doing the best I can with what they have ."
