"Went with my family to go buy shoes for my brother. We went into the shoe section, when my brother was checking his shoe size an employee showed up asking if we needed help. I said we didn’t need any, but the employee still persisted and sat next to us constantly talking over my brother. He then tried to sell my brother a women’s shoe in which we walked out. My father then called customer service and was put on hold for almost 20 minutes"
"Aggressive shoe salesman. Would not stop talking, would not listen, tried to sale me a women's boot. Very uncomfortable, had to just stand up and just leave. Called store to notify manager and was on hold over ten minutes. Feel as though I am being stereotyped every time I walk in the door like I'm trying to steal something. I've been to REI all over the United States and never felt this way. This is my home REI. Feel this way every time I walk in the door. This is the first time I was ever met with aggressive sales."
"It is great to be an REI member! Recently had my bike tuned up, new chain and serviced to make sure everything is working as it should. REI membership gives you a discount on the bike service as well. The people that work at REI are knowledgeable, helpful and are intent on helping customers make a good decision on what they purchase. Great products, strong warranties and an absolute peace of mind doing business with REI. They have your back. Oh and they have great sales! If you are not a member, what are you waiting for!"
