"Terrible experience. I signed my 4 year old daughter up for ballet during an open house at Impressions. I paid the enrollment fee and for the first month of lessons and ordered shoes and leotards. The week before classes started, with Covid-19 cases rising in our area at the time, I was anxious about sending my daughter. So, I called and asked about Covid protocols at the studio, and was assured that instructors would be wearing masks, the students could wear masks, they would be distanced, etc. At the very first class, the instructor and one of her tween "helpers" were not wearing masks. This made me uncomfortable, but I figured if they were distanced and my daughter wore her mask, she'd be fine. Shen then immediately had the girls sit in a circle so close that their knees were touching, so not distanced at all. Then she told my daughter that she didn't have to wear her mask and that she could take it off. I clearly wanted her masked, otherwise I wouldn't have had her wear it in the first place. And she has zero problem wearing her mask at preschool. Luckily my daughter left it on, but then she told her to take it off AGAIN if she was hot. She was in no way hot as they were sitting on the floor stretching, not doing anything strenuous. So, being a 4 year old who listens to her teachers, my daughter took off her mask. When the instructor started having them do breathing exercises including blowing out, I almost went in that second and pulled her from class. Not one of the protocols were followed, putting my daughter and all the other students at risk. I could not get out of that place fast enough. I called immediately when we got home and told them what happened, and that we wouldn't be back. I told them to unenroll her from class and that I would appreciate at least a partial refund because I felt I was misled about their efforts to keep kids safe. The lady I talked to said she would let the instructor know and that she wasn't aware that she wasn't wearing a mask. When I asked, she said they didn't even discuss it beforehand, so clearly it's not that important to them. She said she'd have to discuss the refund with the owner. After several more phone calls, I was told the same, and now they're not returning my calls and I have yet to see a refund. If we had just decided that ballet wasn't our thing, I would, in no way ask for a refund. I only asked for a refund because I felt I was lied to and then when I brought it up, she acted like it wasn't a big deal. I wasted $85 on one 30-minute class (not to mention the money I spent on shoes and leotards) and they are refusing to consider a refund and have been very unprofessional."

"They have two great adult classes, Ballet and Tap. The instructor Annette is very knowledgeable and super fun. I am learning tap for the first time in my thirties and I am having a ball. Her ballet class is a great beginner level class for anyone!"
