"I have been studying Taekwon-do for many years and have found my home with Great Lakes Global Taekwon-do. Master Van Zile and the other instructors are top notch and very knowledgeable. I would recommend GLGT to anyone looking for the best in Taekwon-do training."

"I've trained in martial arts for about 25 years now, and can thus say I am picky about where I go. Great Lakes Global teaches legitimate and internationally recognized Taekwon-Do. Whether you just want to get in shape or learn some self defense, or whether you want to train for international level competition - GLG offers what you need. In addition to offering excellent quality instruction, GLG is a very welcoming, friendly school. I have trained here for about 2 years now, but it feels like so much longer because of the great people I have met there."

"Mrs. VanZile is a great TKD instructor for all ages. They also take cleaning and the current situation in the world very seriously. I'd recommend her for fitness and self defense training."

"I trained with the owner/head instructor Mrs. Carol Van Zile from beginner to Black Belt. When she started her own school I decided to go back to studying TaeKwon-Do with her. Great Lakes Global TaeKwon-Do, under Mrs. Van Zile, is a wonderful place to learn about this powerful martial art. Her degrees in Education are put to great use, and students of all ages, from 5 to 75 plus, learn the proper techniques and etiquette of TaeKwon-Do. It’s the best self defense there is. If you wish to compete Internationally, this is the place to be. If you wish to learn and maybe compete a little bit, this is the place. If all you want to do is learn a bit, get in shape, and have fun, this is STILL the place. I’m now 62. Still training, still learning, still teaching. If you think you’re too old for TaeKwon-Do, you’re not; you need to try it! Stop in, visit a while, and see what TaeKwon-Do is all about."
