Miami University's Department of Biology, located in Oxford, Ohio, is one of the largest departments at the university. You can also add a minor in areas such as Horticulture, Plant Biology, or Plant Biotechnology, or pursue a co-major in fields like Energy, Environmental Science, Neuroscience, Pre-Medical, or Sustainability.
Our graduate programs, including M.A., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees, provide state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for cutting-edge research. Our faculty and students collaborate on research projects in areas such as animal behavior, biotechnology, ecology, evolutionary biology, and more.
With 11 learning centers, including the CAMI microscopy center, CAB behavioral biology center, and CAWS watershed research center, students have access to a wide range of resources for their studies. The Hefner Museum of Natural History, Turrell Herbarium, and other facilities provide additional opportunities for hands-on learning and research.
