Miami University's Department of Biology, located in Oxford, Ohio, is one of the largest departments at the university. Offering a comprehensive education in fields ranging from molecular to global biology, our faculty are dedicated to providing hands-on learning experiences in both the laboratory and the field. We offer Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology, Botany, and Zoology, with similar core requirements that make it easy to switch majors if your interests change. You can also add a minor in areas such as Horticulture, Plant Biology, or Plant Biotechnology, or pursue a co-major in fields like Energy, Environmental Science, Neuroscience, Pre-Medical, or Sustainability.
