"I am new to the area and had to find a new vet. I was hesitant, they are my babies. Some reviews mentioned them not doing the exam with you in the room. Yes, they do the exam in the back but owners are welcome to come back also! They have everything they could need in a large central exam room. Great set up! I was very happy with the friendliness of all the staff, cleanliness, and the care my pups got!"

"Took our dog there for a routine gland expression and checkup. Doctor didn’t even introduce herself, they made my fiancé clean up our dog after they did a gland expression, then charged us $100 for a bag of food without telling us the price and swiped my card before even telling us the total. Horribly unprofessional. Even years ago when I took my cat there they hardly even evaluated him when he was dying of heart failure. Take your pets elsewhere if you care about them"

"Easy to get in to see the Vet, the only one, hard to get them to return calls or in my case an email estimate for surgery. Five days to get back to me, and told me, under further review, to go to another facility, not sure why! The procedure was for two canines to be removed, WHICH did not need to be removed as I found out later by a more experienced Veterinarian."

"I took my dog in to be groomed, he came home with an open wound on his neck & 2 weeks of antibiotics. I was taken aback as my dog did not have a wound when I dropped him off. At his recheck the vet was baffled as to why I was upset at paying for the grooming plus medication plus an office visit. She also tried to tell me there was a scab there prior to the grooming which there wasn't. They just would not own up to or even entertain that he was injured under their care. Never again."

"I transferred my dog to this vet a couple months ago after going to the Tremont Animal Clinic for years (we moved out of the city). The difference in service is just so different. My last vet took the time to examine my dog in front of me, answer questions, play with my dog, and genuinely wanted to save me time and money. At the Tremont Animal Clinic, Dr. Matt literally would get onto the floor with my dog and look him over thoroughly while giving me advice about food, daycare, etc. I do not feel this way at Summit. I have brought my dog in twice in the past several months and neither time did the vet look over my dog in the private room , ask general questions, or seem interested . It was very rushed and disingenuous. The “exam” happened in the back without me seeing it or being able to ask questions. I just feel uncomfortable being charged an exam fee (plus other fees) when the exam isn’t happening in front of me with me being allowed to express my concerns. One thing that stands out to me is that this doesn’t seem like the vet office that you can bring your dog in for a specific thing and they do not overcharge. In my opinion, if my dog just had a physical exam a couple of months ago, I should not be charged for another physical exam for an isolated issue- like an ear infection. The only reason i’m writing this review is because my experiences aren’t sitting right with me. I feel like I did not give my dog the best care, and that is my top priority. Oh and big red flag.. i’ve been there twice and can’t tell you what the vet’s name is, what they look like, etc."
