"I had a horrible experience at my sons 12 month visit, where he was injured due to the staff’s method of administering vaccines. Despite my request to hold my son while he was being vaccinated, I was told they wouldn’t allow it and I was instructed instead to pin him flat on his back on the table. The second he was laid flat he started thrashing about and screaming, making the job of giving the vaccine so much harder and much more unsafe than if he had been calmly sitting in my lap. As a result, he was injured. In preparation for his 15 month visit I called ahead and again requested to hold him in my lap. I was greeted with a phone call from Dr Drasnin who spoke down to me condescendingly and insisted their method was safer, when it was clear from my last visit that for my son it was not. He even proudly told me an account of his staff tackling a 15 year old in the parking lot to forcefully administer a vaccine, as though that is something to be pleased about. After that sickening phone call I started asking friends for recommendations for other pediatricians that will allow me to hold/comfort my child during a vaccine. I received an outpouring of suggestions and upon calling other providers was assured this is not an issue, and they even seemed surprised that I had to ask. In short, ESD is a practice that makes no effort to create positive experiences for their patients, even when such an effort would actually make their job easier. Take your children somewhere that actually treats you and them with respect."

The drs and nurses are very knowledgeable in their profession. Very convenient when making appointments. Always have same day appointments available for emergency. Thank you for all you do!"

That was 5 years ago and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I now have 2 kids I take here. Caring, compassionate, and skilled staff. They are able to see my kids same-day 99% of the time and keep afternoon hours so I can leave work a little early and not disrupt my whole day to get them there. Love this practice!"
