"I had an amazing experience here coming here for 4.5 years. I graduated with honors with a stem degree and held various leadership positions in different groups on campus. If you wanna party, go to the frats. If you wanna study, go to the niu library or dekalb public library. This university changed my life for the better"
"If you have a disability, NIU is not the school for you. The professors are extremely ableist and often refuse to provide accommodations, even professors who specialize in special education. The DRC will take weeks to get back to you and will not advocate for you when a professor refuses to follow accommodations."
"Northern Illinois is a great school, they have been doing well to enforce the rules due to COVID. My neice has been having a great freshman year thus far! It’s always great to visit family when you are in town, Northern was only an hour away from the airport."
"I'm a current freshman, so I don't have a lot to say about the university so far, but I love it here. The professors are, for the most part, great and incredibly knowledge and passionate about their area. It's getting a little dangerous, but there's plenty of safety features in place. I'm excited to call NIU my home!"
