"I don't think I've ever had as pleasant of an experience at a Doctor's office as the one I just had at Alexandria Eye Care. The front desk was warm and super helpful as I hadn't had my eyes checked in 8+ years. I filled out my information and waited all of 30 seconds before a very friendly technician, Amy, took me back to scan my eyes. After that, Dr. Bryan (who told me he took over the practice a year ago), performed a thorough exam, then walked me through the detailed images of the back of my eyes, educating me along the way. If you've never seen the back of the eye/retina, this part is pretty cool. He was really patient with my questions and knew what he was talking about. Turns out I'm a bit nearsighted, so they set me up with a glasses prescription to wear while driving at night. I've never worn glasses before, so their optician Tesa helped me pick frames that fit my face shape. (They have a huge selection.) Also, they accepted my insurance which was another huge plus obviously. Overall, could not recommend this place enough. 5/5 stars. This is why I go to local family practices like this instead of big chain/retail locations!"

"The staff there were incredible. Extremely nice and welcoming which I appreciated being my 6 year old girl was nervous not knowing what to expect for her first eye check up. The female at the desk was so sweet and assured her she would be okay. The female who administered the first imaging tests was patient and thorough, giving my 6 year old directions as she was nervously talking her head off lol. The male doctor who came in to do the in-depth tests was great as well. He was very direct, to the point to get the job done. Which is kind of hard when it comes to my daughter because she doesn't always take direction well and goes off topic in conversation while the tests were being done lol. They actually had a cancellation so after her appointment I was able to get in which I haven't done in 8 years. Was surprised my insurance still covered a pair of glasses which I was definitely in need of. I have no complaints and I'd definitely recommend this place for a long time family eye doctor."

"I made an appointment here as a new patient thinking I would get better customer service than what I’ve experienced from the big-chain eye doctors we have locally. I was wrong! When I arrived for my first appointment, no one was at the front desk so I wandered around the lobby for a few minutes (though I could hear casual conversations from the area just beyond the lobby). A few minutes passed and a woman came to the front to check me in. Without even looking up at me to greet me, she asked for my insurance card. I quickly pulled it out of my wallet and was standing there waiting to hand it off as another woman came to the front and proceeded to engage in inane conversation (something about her granddaughter’s Barbie dream house?) with the first woman for several minutes while I stood there like an idiot with my insurance card in hand, waiting to simply be acknowledged. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. I decided in that moment I did not want to deal with this practice so I walked out. I called a few minutes later as a courtesy to let them know I would not be returning for my scheduled appointment and as soon as they picked up the phone was asked “Can you please hold?” Knowing there were only 2 other people in the lobby, I said sure but hung up. Don’t waste your time and money here! I consider the front desk a reflection of the entire practice which seems like a big red flag."
