"I’m not sure what has happened as of late in health care, seems like “the help, the receptionist, the first line of communication” has fallen to an all time low! A couple years ago I wrote a review (pre-Covid) and gave five star’s (see review below) But it seems every since I wrote that review the (front desk) has increasingly become more and more out of control. From the two times my wife had to call (with a kidney stone) to EVERYONE of my last visits and calls this receptionist ‘Angie’ (I believe that’s her name) has talked down to my wife on several occasions, and again to me today The last time she did this I didn’t come and post a negative review (or change my 5 star rating) I simply called the office manager and ask her to deal with it… I was assured that she would not talk that way again to me and that Bethel Family Practice was sorry. Then she treated my wife that SAME talk down to way, I should have dealt with the issue then, but my wife ended up going to Anderson Mercy and I didn’t want to deal with that when my wife was feeling so poorly… Today July 7th 2022 Same attitude, this time will file formal complaint with corporate office… as I argued last time, I’m not sure why this ‘telephone operator’ is allowed to have access to our medical records (in which she tried to use against me the LAST time I had an issue with her getting into my records and using information she should NOT have access to, and this time telling me my visit times and what appointments I missed. I could have been ANYONE she neither confirmed who I was nor ask me to verify ANY information and she was just spouting out my personal information (to do what? You guessed it, to TALK DOWN to me) the same thing she did to my wife and again last year! It’s a shame because everyone else there seems to be good and helpful people! Candice is amazing! So pleased with her care and genuine intrest in my concerns. She listens quietly and never seems impatient. Some doctors seem to have a thousand things going on and give the impression that they are only listening with half an ear. Candice, even when typing notes will take the time to say, "I am listening to you." Sometimes one is lucky enough to find a good doctor, I found it in C.J. I hope to never lose her."

"I appreciate and value the whole staff , very professional and thorough and very pleasant. I have never had a bad experience with anyone. The receptionist's are responsible for many things so if they are distracted it does not mean they are being rude as has been suggested. You would come back with your panties all in a bunch if you were billed for something you shouldn't have been, because she was distracted. And as far as office protocol it is for your protection more than thiers . They have sick people in their faces all day every day. They are trying to protect you by limiting people in a small space like an exam room , So please think before you write a negative review about an excellent practice and very caring people ."

"This place is a joke. My wife and i brought in our 1 year old daughter for shots today. They said only 1 parent could come back. Okay. I get that due to covid. Understandable. But they continued to make me wait in my car as i wasnt even allowed to wait in the main room. Will be switching dr offices. Negligence at its finest. DO NOT COME HERE."

"I honestly don't know how this place has any poor reviews. I have never been comfortable in a doctor office until I found this place. We live in Bethel and I was sick of driving 45 minutes for a doctor appointment so despite the 1-star rating I gave it a try. Nicole Durkee, the NP there is phenomenal. She answers all my questions, is always calm, no rushing, and has helped me SO much. She is awesome. I have also seen Dr. Heather Owens and she was the same, not rushed, very helpful. I 100% recommend either of them. Now about the office staff - again, no clue how they have a rating calling them "rude" because they are ALWAYS so smiley and happy. They are very efficient and helpful as well. I'll also add, I have never waited more than maybe 10 minutes to be caller from the waiting room and never more than 5-10 to be seen. Their lab techs are always friendly as well and very good at taking blood! I'm so happy I found this office, thank you all for your hard work and completely alleviating my anxiety about going to the doctor!"
