About the Business
Atlantis North Aquatics is a family-friendly dive center located at 1709 Wooster Road West in Barberton, Ohio. As Barberton's only dive center, we offer Oceanic Dive Housing which allows you to capture stunning underwater photos with automatic color correction on your iPhone while diving, snorkeling, or paddling. Our Dive Housing also turns your iPhone into a fully functional dive computer, certified to EN13319 standards for scuba diving gauges. With the Oceanic app, you can use the same subscription for both your Apple Watch Ultra and iPhone, providing greater redundancy and saving you money. If you can't visit us in person, you can conveniently shop online through our Square Online Store for merchandise and gift cards. We are proud to announce that we are now an Ocean Technology Systems (OTS) dealer, offering a range of Full Face Masks for scuba certified divers. "We had a fantastic “try scuba” lesson with Kurt. I have been interested in scuba for most of my life but I’ve never had anyone to try it with because my husband has a fear of water. Well, we both signed up for this lesson to see if we both wanted to move forward with the certification or not - after about five minutes underwater my husband totally relaxed and said he felt absolutely no fear for the first time in his entire life (42 years) and that he’s now extremely excited to move forward with certification."
"We had a great morning with the Try Scuba class! 6 students total, Kurt was a fun and patient instructor. Karen was great communicating about where to register and completing the forms and brief online class. They're very thorough on all the gear and safety. "The staff wase awesome! Kurt was an excellent instructor. Let's begin.... I don't like water. I've snorkeled with my wife in Puerto Rico, Florida, and Hawaii. Not one time did I really enjoy It. Woter in myask. Terrible. I'm not a great swimmer to begin with. But.....I do it because my wife is a Pisces, so she os a fish in the water. I always try and to no avail. I just don't like it. Fast forward. We are going to Australia in 2025 for my wife's 40th. She wants to scuba and see the Reef. So...Xmas 2023 I buy us a try before you buy scuba lesson. Lesson... Ok suited Up, in the water, nervous. Not liking it. Ready to Abort. Listen to the instructor. Follow well. Wow, after getting through my fear. What an experience. We spent at least 20 minutes underwater without surfacing. I couldn't believe it. I restged well. I was calm. I learned how to clear water from my Mask. F@#k yes! We are going to get certified. I'm not missing the great barrier Reef. Nor any other Change to scuba. It's worth it. Just do it. Trust your instructor. Scuba is easier than swimming. It just is."
