"I had to leave Dr. Pearson. I could not use my hand for work. She didn’t sign FMLA. 20 years at this office and they didn’t care as I was going through this crisis. Even though I couldn’t work she wouldn’t sign disability papers. She stated she never signed disability papers in her 8 years of practice. Great doctor for a cold, urinary infection or thyroid. This was a very painful and stressful experience that I truly needed sensitivity and help. I could no longer do my job of 30 years and was sent to therapy and after no ( or small) improvement; I was left hanging. Now my new pcp can’t get the past records."

"Recently and not-so-recently we have had ongoing billing issues with Wood Co Hospital, Wood Health Company ect. I have never once paid a bill late or been behind in the 3 years since we moved here. They called to collect today (3/30/2020) on a statement that was sent (3/25/2020) for services in January and February this year. I literally had the bill on my desk to pay from opening it in the mail yesterday. I really like the doctors, but the billing department has been nothing but an ongoing struggle and is consistently underperforming, inappropriately charging, and making error after error. Consistent with the previous reviews. It would appear they have an internal issue with communication in the billing department. When you ask to discuss this with a manager or person in charge they just say they will make a note on your account and they are "sorry to bother you" and in the future we "won't make any courtesy calls"."

"They claimed I have an outstanding charge in collections (I do not) and cashed a check I sent to them which should have gone to Wood County Hospital without telling me or correcting it. Next came a series of communication errors resulting in them sending me to collections for a different amount. After multiple calls and emails over the course of several weeks, I got them to resolve their errors and issue an apology. If you choose to do business with them for your health needs, I recommend you practice extreme vigilance with their billing statements."

"(update: yes the charges were fraudulent and I actually ended up getting a refund when I called the doctors office directly. Not only did I not owe them money but it turns out they owed me money! DO NOT SEND "Wood Health Company" ANYTHING, CALL YOUR DOCTOR DIRECTLY PLEASE!) Same story as the last few reviews! I was randomly sent a collections notice 6 months after a procedure that I paid in the full the same day! I never received a bill (outside of the one I paid in cash the same day) just like the other reviewers. I'm looking into it now but if I don't update the review I just want to say be very cautious with these people. 99% positive it's a scam and considering its linked to my medical information they'd seriously be crossing the line of plausible legality"

"Tried to charge me a $200 bill for a doctor appointment 3 years ago. Never heard anything about this bill. I was told the vaccines we're free. Never received a bill. Just got a call from a collections agency 3 years after the appointment"
