"Proud Hondros RN graduate! 76 and out on the RN NCLEX! I was fully prepared. Alot of people want to be hand held and if so this program is not for you! Hondros teachers are there to support you and to help you when YOU ask for help. They are not mind readers and will not anticipate your needs for you. You have to ask if you are struggling, and do not wait until youre failing to ask for help. I had no problem getting help from teachers when I needed it and even when I went through personal things the nursing director was very helpful and understanding. I never failed a course I went straight through graduated and passed my NCLEX on the first try! Nursing is about autonomy and being able to critically think and this is what is expected of you and taught. I would highly recommend this program to nurses that want to advance or lay individuals that are pursuing a career in nursing."

"Edit: I will say following posting this review the CEO and vice president of the campus reached out for a meeting to discuss some things and try to make changes. So hoping following our meeting, they make some serious changes to this campus. Though I am a graduate with honors, I can not recommend this school to anyone. There were so many things wrong that I couldn't even write it all, from unprofessionalism to the school giving quizzes and getting the lecture after and the school not caring or fixing the mistake. The school is set up to take many people's money without succeeding, charges extreme prices, and almost sets you up for failure. As well they raised their tuition, stating due to superb teachers and academics which is untrue. Some of the teachers and workers are super nice, but the head people in charge do not have the students' best interest at heart, the dean does not advocate for the students, will say they will look into things and never do. Instructors quitting left and right, unqualified instructors teaching classes and making exams they know nothing about. Steer clear there are better schools with better prices. Just so much more, but I can not write it all."

"I am a licensed practical nurse (LPN) graduate and currently in my fourth term as an associate degree in nursing (ADN) student at Hondros Independence. The success of your experience in nursing school ultimately depends on your own efforts, so slacking off and expecting to excel is not the way to go. However, if you apply yourself diligently, they provide you with all the necessary readings and materials to pass exams with great grades. While I have encountered some instructors who lack effective communication and teaching skills, it becomes inconsequential when you put in the work. Like others mentioned, the clinical experience is very lackluster (hints 4 stars) but I find that you learn best after you become a nurse. One aspect that I appreciate about this program is its flexibility through online courses which allows me to continue working full-time while taking care of my family consisting of six members without compromising academic honors achievements. Hope this helps."

"Their response to the reviews it’s a generated response.. you email them .. and surprise surprise, they DO NOT respond This is a rip off college of nursing. They only care about getting money from the students. It’s very expensive for the experience that you get. The assignments are so extra, they teach you absolutely NOTHING. And take time away from the exam studying. The exams have information on there that the instructor did not go through, but they say we should know. It’s impossible to get in contact with them, and they take forever to fix any mistakes. The clinical experience is SOOO bad !!! Nursing homes where you do nothing but follow an LPN around, they have no IV medication, no assessments, no wound care, no cath insertion, and for PEDs clinicals, you sit in a classroom on campus for 4 hours and practice on a plastic mom that doesn’t work 75% of the time!! It should be a last option for nursing. Go to a community college if you can. I had no choice due to things I had going on. But I would not go again. They strive to fail students, if you look at their graduation rate… it is so LOW !!!"
