"Elderly mother with dementia was prescribed a hospital bed by doctor Chams her doctor. A certificate of medical necessity was needed for insurance billing. Chams office and the pharmacy took over 3 months to get the documentation. From week two I was calling Chams office. At month two I went to the office and was assured they’d send the documents. At approximately 10 weeks I conferenced called both the pharmacy and the doctors offices and the assured each other the documents would be faxed. I told them to do their jobs. The office manager from pro media told me there were only three office workers for 9 doctors and I needed to lighten up. I was assured they would start communicating together. Week 12 the pharmacy called me because they still hadn’t received the certificate of medical necessity which I was assured in weeks 4, 8 and 10 was going to be sent. It’s now past week 12 and I received a letter from pro medica that they will fire my mother as a patient if I am disrespectful to the office personnel. I’m sure pro medica pays their ceo in the 6/7 digit salary but they should consider providing better service to their elderly patients and their care providers."
