"I have waited patiently but I am totally frustrated at this point. Sonnie does care for her students but she is not a good business person. She did not plan for the unexpected, did not follow through with promises made, kept money that was paid for tickets and T-shirts without ever receiving the T-shirts and paid for a recital costume and tights and never received any of the items. I want the costume and T-shirts that I paid for and want to be refunded for the 12 tickets I purchased for a recital that was cancelled two different times."

"I would like to share my experience so that hopefully others can avoid. My daughter had classes for almost a year. She did not learn anything. If you read the other reviews you will see classes were cancelled often with promises of make up classes. The owner either had health problems or family problems. No arrangements made to have someone else teach. There was never anyone available at the desk to speak with. You can't see what your kids are doing during class and have no feedback. Recital was scheduled and cancelled twice. Never saw the costume that was paid for in full. Promised a refund which never happened. Somehow she was able to find a new location for a new studio to open soon."

"The owner ran off with money and had ghosted everyone with little to no communication. Recital has been cancelled twice, the last time being at the beginning of august, and we’ve still yet to hear from Sonie about any make up recital or any refund for tickets bought. Also, paid for costumes in January and have yet to receive them."

"I wish I could speak highly of this dance studio, but unfortunately that is not the case. The girls had dance class once a week for 30 mins only and at least 1, sometimes even 2 classes were cancelled monthly since the start of the dance year. Not only that, we were always told that these classes would be made up, and most of them were not. Most of the time the classes didn’t even last 30 mins. We have also PAID for a costume in January that we have STILL NOT received. A recital was planned for June and cancelled due to health reasons, this recital was scheduled to be made up at the beginning of August, once again this recital was cancelled as well. Both times the recitals were cancelled we were given LESS THAN a weeks notice. I understand that health problems do arise and are always out of our control, but for someone who has been in business for 50 years, you would think there would be some sort of back of plan or arrangements made in case an event/emergency arose. There have been many parents who have asked for any idea of what is going on right now and no one ever receives a response. There should be someone within this facility that is keeping its paying members updated with any source of information of what’s to come. We have spent money on costumes that we still haven’t received in over 6 months, we have purchased show tickets for 2 different recitals now and have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to show for it. It’s honestly not like me to even leave a review about a business like this, and don’t get me wrong, Sonie does very much care for her students, but something’s got to give. All it takes is good communication so us parents don’t feel as if we were robbed of our money/time. This is pretty much a last resort, considering my family as well as many others have reached out with no response. Unfortunately, we will be moving forward with another studio, that is more reliable so our daughter isn’t let down again as this was her first year of dance."

"It’s was great at the beginning but after the first of the year it went down hill. Our classes were getting canceled at least once sometimes twice a month and only one was made up. Due to health reasons our recital was canceled twice 3 days before the recitals, we also still haven’t received our costumes nor was our money offered back for the recital tickets we already paid for. And now we’re going into a new dance year/school year/other sports and we will not have the time to make the recital up. I also was threatened, called names and uneducated by the owners sister for posting on Facebook stating how I felt like I was being ghosted by the owner after I sent a message to her and didn’t receive a message back until 3 weeks later. It was my daughters first year of dance and it has been an awful experience. I’m just glad she is too young to remember it. I understand no one plans for medical emergencies but there should have been a back up plan to let someone else continue with the second recital when it was rescheduled so that the parents and dancers weren’t put in the situation we’re in now, which is we’re out of $163 for costumes and $70 for recital tickets."
