"NEVER WOULD I EVER WORK AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. The students are nothing but Numbers to them. The more bodies the more money they get. This place has Zero Morals. The Culture of this place is horrible. Mostly everyone throws each other under the bus and manipulates in order to get their way. Not everyone there is horrible but there are definitely a few Rotten Apples. This establishment is unorganized and full of DRAMA. The employee turnaround rate is ridiculously high. I was there for 6 months and watched at least 10 new people quit and probably 5 get fired. They only have PTO and if you don’t have any when you’re sick they will FIRE you. Some staff treat the students like Inmates, there are rumors of Staff and Student Fraternization, so much Gossiping and Drama. I could go on and on but I’ll end with this - Stay Away if you are a person of Dignity Morale and Principles or else this place will Break Your Spirit. All Money Isn’t Good Money."
"WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!! I was a student last year and didn't stay past six months for the simple fact the staff there treat the kids there like inmates. Also, the entire building dorms and classroom all have black mold and the food there is so bad that some of the students were getting food poisoning. The medical crew there is very rude and just gives out ice packs and send you on your way even if you CLEARLY are not feeling well. And they don't help you get home to your family for holidays(except Christmas) or weekends so you have to buy the stuff you need (body soap, laundry detergent, food, cloths, ect) and a way home and back when they only pay $40 every two weeks (60 if you been there 6 or more months) nor do they help you find a job in your career of choice or somewhere to live like they say when you complete the program. Also you have to wait for a "release date" even after you graduated which could be weeks after you complete the program in order to get your certificate and/or hsd if you needed it. This is genuinely a terrible center and do not recommend the Dayton job corps center."
"I was a student here last year. I remember leaving the center abruptly and being chased across town by three different staff members! I liked some of the staff and my peers, but it's a couple seemingly rotten apples that are here. The Big African American lady (The BAA) is terrifying and will stop at nothing to emasculate you and probably put you in a straight jacket and padded room if given the chance, but not to the men (boys) which she seems to only have prejudice against. she'll just growl at you and try to break your mental focus. She seems more focus on getting in the female students pants and destroying all men she can. Do yourself a favor and stay away."
"I would say this place is the worst place I’ve ever been to honestly. The whole program is bad itself and the staff do not care about what goes on or what happens while you are there or trying to get into the program. The director that runs the place does nothing to keep this place in order or fix any issues that show up. There is an employee there named Jennifer Mingus who has been the worst of any that I have talked to because of the fact she demands that you give her information that she legally does not need and a bunch of other runaround tasks. She has been very disrespectful towards me and I have witnessed her being disrespectful first hand towards a military vietnam veteran during a tour visit. That itself should tell you that she has issues because under no circumstance should she be talking or treating a vet like that. . Her behavior and racial remarks while doing so should not be tolerated and she needs to do better. I would rate this place a zero if possible but this program needs to do better in general because having people such as herself who tell others that they are simply not “good enough” and not allowed admission due to their race is highly unacceptable. Do better."
"When i was 19 going on 20 i enrolled my self. I was talked down to and threatened even though i more than likely was already making more money than the faculty during that time. Could not use cell phones in between classes in the hallways. I didnt care and used mine regardless. I have a family to communicate with. Long story short. The dorm was infested with bed bugs and their efforts were just to move everyone and their belongings to another dorm ( which spreads bed bugs even further) to make matters worse. I said i wanted to leave and its completely nasty and unhealthy. They threatened me and told me they arent sending me back and they are paying for me to get back. Little did they know I made good money and was just picking up an extra trade to further sell my self on my resume. I paid for my own way and told them to go to hell. They did not treat kids and young adults like humans. It was more like a prison. Couldnt eat past a certain time even if you have health conditions or medication that requires you to do so and other far fetched strick rules that make zero sense. Too bad i couldnt get certified in the trade i went there for. Just wasted time that i cannot get back and memories that i will never forget that has impacted me for years. If you care about your kids ask to do a pop up tour and see how they run things first. Dont let them deny communication with your child. And make sure they are happy or feel safe in that environment. Because i sure wasnt."
