"I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANY CHILD WITH AN IEP. Yes, they have great programs, but unfortunately are not staffed appropriately to handle special student's IEP needs. The worst part is they "try", but do not follow-up with parents after the problem is identified. Ultimately, as the student falls behind due to lack of support, frustrations of all parties rise, and then they have an excuse, which is, it's not them, it is the kid who isn't "trying hard enough". They do not even have the ability to allow or schedule study periods (hall). Just reiterate I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANY CHILD WITH AN IEP."

"I personally graduated in 2004. I can honestly say that this is the best school I went to. I knew from the start of high school at Indian lake that I wanted to be in printing and graphics. Mr.Craig was the BEST teacher (other teachers I will not add more names) for more than just a homeroom. The teachers here had a challenge because most thought you had to have school issues to get Into It. I believe the school and skills they teach more than just passing a grade. I never liked my school until JVS. Indian lake was a teaching style of more study the book, do the test and then forget what you learned (Other than a select few teachers.) JVS was more than a school. They treated you as more of an equal that was starting a job. I know I'm rambling, but I hope this makes 1 person think of going here. I almost failed a couple classes at Indian lake. By graduation at JVS I was graduating with honors and top of the printing and graphics class. Also working full time. Thanks to learning a skill! I will also mention 2 teachers... I've never been good with math. My teacher worked to make sure I knew what I was doing. Not just copy answers to pass. I could write a story of how every teacher helped me in life. I have to mention my English teacher in 2003. It's really upset me that I never got a chance to tell her. Her giving me 1 personal book, actually did open a new world to me. I went from hating English classes because I suck at spelling and grammar lol. To wanting to read the next novel, then another and so on. Now that I'm an adult I can say all of them helped me get to where I've been and am. A home owner, banker, auditor, up to the last 7 years I've been in health management and run a Drs office. None of this would be possible if I had not been to JVS!!!!! Sarah F."
