"MAN LISTEN. This was hands down the BEST soulfood I have EVER found in lake county ever in my 30 YR old life of living and dinning . Everything was amazing. Oxtail were so tender they fell apart. The sauce , too die for and the sides were all cooked to perfection. The rice , greens beans , cabbage and mac and cheese was all amazing. All of the meat (3 oxtail, Salisbury steaks , pot roast , fried dark meat chicken. ) was amazingly seasoned and cooked. Don't even get me started on the fact it was REAL BANNANS in the banana pudding. You cannot find a soulfood place like this everywhere so if you're in the area I'm begging you stop by and tip your cook. You will not regret it. I'm lacking the boxes clean as we speak."
"I found a fingernail in my mouth while eating the collard greens. Owner/ management was not helpful at all. He just kept repeating excuses of how the fingernail couldn’t have been in the greens. I didn’t want a refund. I just wanted him to know that someone isn’t handling the food properly."
"I ordered the Pork Chop entrée with Mac and cheese and yams. I also ordered an extra side of green beans. The pork chop was fried and seasoned very well crispy and crunchy. The Mac had real cheese not that slice cheese these restaurants sale now and the yams where not too sweet just the right amount. The side of green beans where delicious very well seasoned. I will definitely be back."
"Last night 05/12/2023 I order the oxtail entree and the smothered pork chops entree my friend ordered the chicken and rice entree. The mac and cheese was not good it was not cheesy at all the greens were very salty with no other taste the flavoring to the pork chop was good but it was over cooked for 28.50 for an oxtail entree I got 3 oxtails I can buy a whole pack of oxtails for what I paid for my meal. This review is from the 3 different meals 3 different people."
