As an Ironworker training institution, we prepare individuals to become skilled tradesmen in the building and construction industry. Our program covers a wide range of duties, including reinforcing concrete, erecting steel structures, installing metal siding and roof decking, and fabricating steel components.
Ironworkers play a crucial role in the construction process, working on tasks such as placing steel in concrete, setting precast concrete, and installing stairways and handrails. Our training also includes machinery moving and rigging, as well as welding, burning, and layout skills. Safety is a top priority, and our students learn the importance of teamwork to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Applicants can apply to our program, and when a new apprenticeship class is needed, they will be notified to take a DAT test to assess their job-related skills. Successful applicants will then undergo a physical attributes test to demonstrate their ability to perform tasks required of an ironworker. Graduates of our program can also benefit from an articulation agreement with Northwest State Community College, where credits will transfer towards an associate's degree.
